Great tour and guide! - Joao was a wonderful guide. He shared wonderful history and was extremely knowledgeable. We truly appreciated all aspects of the tour from pick up to drop off and guiding us through the experience in Sintra. Not having to navigate driving or managing public transportation allowed us extra time to enjoy the various stops and attractions.

A perfect day trip to Sintra - Nuno was a fantastic guide. He was punctual, friendly, knowledgeable, entertaining and professional. He picked the 6 of us up at our hotel and provided excellent and detailed interpretation and tours of the highlights of Sintra while still giving us some time to explore on our own. We never felt rushed or hurried and he patiently answered all of our questions. He and Vango tours are A++

Nuno is the best guide! - Nuno was a great guide! He was very knowledgeable about the history of Portugal and the palaces in Sintra. His driving was superb and he gave us a great lunch recommendation. After our lunch, he brought us the best pastries we have tried in Lisbon. The 8 am pick up was great to beat the crowds in palace of Pena. I would recommend this tour to all my friends and specifically with Nuno

An unforgettable day in Sintra! - We really loved our tour with Nuno! Sintra would have been a very daunting day to plan and he did an amazing job explaining the history and importance of the many sights Sintra has to offer. From the morning pickup to the lunch suggestions and being so caring and flexible when I got carsick on the way up, Nuno made us feel like great friends and was SO kind. Definitely recommend booking a private tour. If you’re on the fence, book it! You won’t regret it and it’ll feel extra good when you drive past all the people hiking up to the castle in your private ride!

Definitely the way to experience Sintra! - This was our first trip to Portugal and our first private tour. Our guide, Joao, was excellent in every way. He was prompt picking us up and led us through the day with ease. We felt relaxed and were given what we hoped for: history, interesting facts about Sintra/surrounding areas, and Portugal. When I asked, he was even able to tell us interesting facts about the trees in the area.
This tour went beyond our expectations. Although this was a more expensive tour, having all tickets included, avoiding lines and avoiding parking hassles, we highly recommend this tour. We would also request Joao’s guidance in the future.

Spectacular day of Sintra Palaces and Coastal Beaches - Amazing day trip to Sintra to see the Pena Palace and Quinta da Regaleira followed by a scenic beach trip back to Lisbon through Cascais Beautiful sights and so much Portugal history we would not have known. Nuno was the best guide and took us to all the beautiful sights and knew the perfect times to avoid crowds. We highly recommend Nuno and this tour!

Worth the money - Went October 2024 but totally worth the money. Amazing tour with fantastic tour guide and luxurious ride. Our guide was very cool and knowledgeable and personable and it felt way less like a tour and more like a friend showing you around, you get the best experience.

Memorable experience in Sintra - We have had an amazing time in Sintra. Our guide Mr Nuno Moura looked after us very well. He has so much knowledge about all the places we had visited, eg Castle of the Moors, the Pena National Palace, Quinta da Regaleria with its hidden tunnels etc. We are very grateful for the services provided by Mr Nuno Moura and the opportunity to have such a wonderful experience in Sintra.

Perfect tour despite rain - I was worried about being being overly tired during a day tour of Sintra from Lisbon… thus, I was looking for a tour of Sintra that included hotel pickup in Lisbon, tickets to see the interiors of the different sights with an English speaking tour guide, limited to a small group, and wouldn’t be too long - under 8 hours ideally. This tour was the only one that included the 3 main sights I wanted to see - the Quinta Regaleira, the moorish castle, and Peña Palace. (Most tours were 9 hours and did not include tickets. Some only picked up before 8 am or wanted us to go to a meeting place by 8 am.) We got picked up at our hotel at 8 am in a very comfortable Mercedes Benz van by our wonderful tour guide, Nuno. He first took us to the old Sintra city center, where we were treated to a local pastry treat at a historic cafe, before the crowds showed up. We then walked around the city center at a leisurely pace, stopping at St Martin church before walking uphill towards Quinta Reg, stopping to see a lovely garden at a nearby historic estate that is now a hotel. We saw everything at Quinta Regaleira with a great explanation of the mysticsm and history of the estate. We then walked back down to tour the city center on our own for lunch (he suggested we see the national palace gardens which are free). He then drove us to a different part of Sintra where the Moorish castle (untuned entry) and Peña Palace (timed entry) were. Everything was timed perfectly. Nuno gave us a great explanation of each of the locations while maintaining a relaxed pace and mood despite the crowds. We were able to get back before 4 pm. Highly recommend!!
