We had a wonderful time... - We had a wonderful time with Miguel as our guide! He was an expert at navigating the crowds and lines so that we spent minimal time waiting and maximum time exploring and learning about the Moorish castle and Pena Palace. Miguel shared his extensive knowledge of the sights and recommended a great cafe in Sintra for lunch. After lunch we altered the tour plan and went to Cascais to see the ocean and enjoy a glass of Portuguese wine. Abrigado!

There's a reason this tour company is always in-demand :) Book this tour asap! - Our tour with Van GO Tourism, specifically with Nuno, was one of the best tours we've ever had! And we've traveled to 30+ countries as a family. From the initial communication with the company to when Nuno dropped us off, every element of this tour was a great experience :)
By the end, Nuno became a friend of our family's: prompt, a safe driver, kind and helpful, knowledgeable and a charismatic speaker, really funny (!) and very flexible in customizing the itinerary to accommodate our requests as best as possible :)
Not to mention, everywhere we went, everyone knew Nuno — from fellow tour operators to staff at the palaces. Which meant we were able to get up to the front of the line to ride the bus up to Pena sooner; still enter Regaleira even if we were 20 mins later than our entry time; and get a pleasant experience wherever we went. He also knew the best spots for photos and was proactive in snapping us, which we really appreciated :)
The tour itself was the right pace too. We saw just enough to get a deep dive into each location; had enough time for lunch (which was a delicious spot Nuno recommended, btw); and even had enough time with Nuno at the end of our tour to get some good local tips about our neighborhood (which he coincidentally grew up in!).
(Also, the van was large, clean, good as new, and very comfortable as well. AC was great, we had an endless supply of water, WiFi worked pretty well, and more than enough space for all 4 of us.)
We can't recommend this tour enough. Definitely book this while you still can—they get booked up pretty fast!

What a wonderful relaxing day ! - What a lovely relaxing day in such beautiful areas. Our guide Nuno was friendly, informative and most importantly authentic. He certainly is enthusiastic about this area and is very in tune with his guests

Private Sintra Tour - John was a very knowledgeable and fun guide. We booked an all day trip to Sintra including Pena Palace and Regaliera. We didn’t need to wait in line to purchase tickets since all that was done ahead of time for us. A wonderful day to remember! Thanks John!!

Outstanding day in Sintra with Nuno - We had a great day exploring Sintra with Nuno. From Pena to the castle to Quinta, He knew all the logistics and tips to see everything efficiently, and explained all the history throughout the day. We did not have to think about train schedules, busses, tickets, or routes. This was so much easier than trying to do it by ourselves, especially with kids and grandparents in tow. If you are interested in a day trip to Sintra, look no further. This was an outstanding tour.

Great way to experience the extended area around Lisbon - We had a great full day tour of the Sintra area including 3 castles with Miquel as our driver and guide. It was a very nice way to experience the extended area around Lisbon. Miquel was knowledgeable and pleasant.

We thoroughly enjoyed our... - We thoroughly enjoyed our day in Sintra with Nuno! A Sintra resident, Nuno brought fresh perspective, local color, and humor to our day. His skillful, confidence-inspiring driving and mastery of the traffic patterns around the city and attractions made for a pleasant, comfortable, efficient experience. As advertised, we covered a lot of ground, taking more than 12,000 steps as we navigated around and through the major attractions, so comfortable shoes are an absolute requirement. Nuno provided excellent suggestions for lunch on the day of our tour and even offered recommendations for a route and towns to visit on our self-guided trip up the coast of Portugal the following day. We are so happy to have met Nuno and to have included this tour as part of our visit to Portugal!
