- Óbidos Village - Óbidos Castle is a remarkably preserved medieval fortress. The historic center of the town is entirely encompassed by this prominent landmark. Constructed between the 12th and 14th centuries, it held significant strategic and military importance for Portugal, which was then a burgeoning nation. The extensive walls encircling the village stretch nearly one mile (1.5 km) and can be explored on foot, offering visitors stunning views of both the village and the surrounding landscape. Notable features include the castle towers, ancient gateways, and the cobblestone streets lined with traditional white houses. Since King Dinis gifted the town to his wife Isabel as a wedding present, Óbidos remained under the ownership of Portuguese queens until the 19th century.
- Monastery of Alcobaça - Founded in 1153 by Portugal’s first king, Afonso Henriques, the monastery maintained a strong connection with the Portuguese monarchy throughout its seven-century history. This relationship led to it becoming the wealthiest and most influential monastery in Portugal by 1300, housing nearly 1,000 monks and engaging in agriculture, fishing, and trade. It was closed in 1834 during the dissolution of monasteries in Portugal. The church and monastery were the first Gothic structures in Portugal and, along with the slightly older Augustinian Monastery of Santa Cruz in Coimbra, were among the most significant medieval monasteries in the country. Due to its artistic, cultural, and historical significance, it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1989.

Nazaré is famous for its fishing, massive Atlantic Ocean waves, and surfing. Visitors will have one and a half hours to enjoy this remarkable location. The admission fee for Forte de São Miguel is 2 euros.
