Sintra Tour - All the highlights of Sintra plus! Tour included tickets for Pena Palace grounds but not the palace itself which was fine as you see enough. The highlight was the Regalia where the guide walked us through the park and pointed out all the highlights. We were e able to go down the well as well as through the house. Trip also included the westernmost tip which wax a great photo op and a quick stop in Cascais. Hugo was a wealth of information and the small group size was ideal. Excellent tour!

Fantastic day trip in Sintra and Portuguese coasts. - I went on this tour with Marina. She’s a very delightful, helpful and kind guide who made our group have a wonderful day. We started our journey from Sintra with Pena Palace, though we did not get to go inside, the palace courtyard and gardens are amazing and takes all of our time to see. Then we get to have a little pastry time to try Sintra’s famous Travesseiro and Queijada which are definitely delish! We walked to Quinta da Regaleira after that, this place is large and there are so many things to explore, our guide took us to every points of the parks and castles. Then you will have free time for lunch in old town area, I suggest you could spare time to explore another attractions, there are many places to go to for a quick sightseeing nearby. Next stop is Cabo de Roca, it’s quite windy on the day but the view is stunning and worth going! Our last visit of the day is Cascais, it’s only a short stop but you will get to see how locals enjoy their beach weekend there. It’s a full adventure day trip I would totally recommend :)

Sublime, surreal, priceless. - I enjoy traveling and I have been on many tours within the US and in Europe and I have had some great tour guides but Marina and Gonçalo were supremely exceptional. They embodied amiability and friendliness and it was not forced, it was genuine and natural. They not only made the tour enjoyable but they enjoyed guiding the tour. They are very knowledgeable and generous with their knowledge but their knowledge was beyond studied history, it was uniquely insightful. Like good friends, they recommended great places to eat Portuguese delicacies at places a Portuguese would go to and helped us avoid tourist traps. And oh my!! Did we enjoy the food at the places they recommended? Absolutely. Someone please give Marina and Gonçalo a raise because they are rare gems.

Beautiful attractions and great tour - Nunu did a great job! His itinerary was well organized, the narrative was informative and he tailored to our individual needs. This was a smaller 8 person tour, which made it more enjoyable and manageable, especially in the more crowded locations.

Informative and fun day out - Small group which meant personal attention and connection with the guide and his wealth of knowledge. The tour was informative and not too formal. Various stops along the way as well as Sintra and the palaces meant great variation of sights. Even a couple of added extras including a seaside route change on our way back to town. Well worth the cost.

Sintra Tour May 28 2025 by Nuno worked for Cooltours - Guide, Nuno, was 30 minutes late picking us up at our hotel. Was also late picking third group 1 hour). From there, he was always in a hurry to make up time to the point that he hit another vehicle. If we did not ask questions, he relayed very little information to us. As well, the information he relayed to us was rather superficial and very readily accessible with minimal knowledge of the internet. We were hoping for more. Furthermore, since he was already in a hurry he spoke so quickly that it was difficult to understand him, especially with a strong Portuguese accent. We had a couple of elderly people who were slow which he sometimes left behind. He told the rest of the group to meet him at a spot that was so vague that we were afraid to go to far in case we got lost. One time he was leaving a spot we were all supposed to meet at and he left without us. We were not late. Luckily we were only about 10 metres from him. He seemed disinterested. We have travelled a lot and have used many guides. He was the worst one we have ever had. In fact we found it a waste of our time and money. We will not recommend this tour to our friends. The company was called Cooltours and the guide was Nuno. Viator provided us with good service to get the tour. You should take Cooltours and Nuno off of the Viator list.
