We will visit Serra de Sintra or Mons Lunae as the Romans used to say. At Monte da Lua, mysticism persists to this day. We’ll start with a guided tour of an authentic fairytale palace, Palace of Pena. Then, we will explore the narrow streets of vila de Sintra and give you free time to have lunch and try the typical sweets of the region (travesseiro) in the famous pastry shop “Piriquita”. After lunch, we’ll head to Quinta da Regaleira where we’ll take a guided tour of the Initiatic Well and learn about the history behind its exotic gardens, enigmatic caves and Masonic architecture. We will cross the mountain, passing through the villages around it, to reach Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe.

- Attention: the pick up is done between 7:30 and 8:00 depending of the diferents hotels. The pick up is made in the hotel when is possible for us. Otherwise we will meet in a place close by your hotel.

Great Sintra tour with Renata - We loved our tour with Renata. We have had many guides during our travels over the years and Renata is definitely one of the best. She is a great communicator and good at sharing interesting details and history without it being information overload. The tour was well paced and we had time to enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. We also had some time to ourselves for a morning tea break and also a lunch break in the historic heart of Sintra which was very nice.
Renata is also a great photographer and was happy to take photos of and for us; she knew all the best ways to capture those memorable and creative shots.
Renata's tour was very well organised and she is friendly and personable with a lovely positive energy. Prior to our tour I contacted Renata directly via the Cascais Tours website with a couple of questions and she was very responsive.
We are glad we took a tour rather than trying to visit Sintra independently and we are even happier that we chose Renata from Cascais Tours as our guide. Highly recommended.

100% recommend! - We had an absolutely wonderful tour to Sintra and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Our tour guide Renata was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and informative, sharing fascinating history and local insights that made each stop even more special. She was also amazingly patient and kind with our three young kids, making sure they were included, comfortable, and happy throughout the day.
The ease of the entire trip was something we truly appreciated — from smooth transportation to a well-paced itinerary, everything felt effortless and stress-free. We were able to fully enjoy the beauty of Sintra without worrying about logistics. This tour exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend it to families or anyone looking for an enjoyable, well-organized experience in Portugal.

A magical rainy day in Sintra - Had such an amazing day in Sintra with Renata. Although it was rainy, she made sure we still had an unforgettable experience. She was an excellent photographer and shared so much history about the locations we visited. She also recommended an excellent lunch spot during our free time, one of my favorite places I ate when visiting Portugal. Would highly recommend this tour, you will not be disappointed.

Don’t Miss this Tour - There are lots of stairs to climb but every step is worth the experience. Incredible sights at the Palace. The park is “the plumb” of the tour and offers flowing water, tunnels, towers and a “can’t miss” well. Sintra is gorgeous. The Guide was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable - she was a fun person to spend the day with.

Five-Star Sintra Adventure with Renata - Renata was an amazing host from start to finish. Booking the tour was as easy as 1-2-3. As soon as I confirmed, she sent us the links to purchase tickets for the two main attractions - Pena Palace and Quinta da Regaleira - so everything was perfectly organized. I did this about 1 month in advance of the tour date. Choosing this tour was absolutely the best decision; we breezed through all the lines without any hassle.
We were a group of eight, and hiring Renata made for the perfect private day trip. We all rode comfortably in a luxurious Mercedes 4WD for the entire day, sitting a maximum of 8 passengers. Her knowledge of Sintra’s history, art, culture, and even the local flora and fauna made the experience truly enriching. She even shared fascinating insights about Lisbon right from the moment the tour began. An absolute joy from beginning to end!

A Day at Sintra - Ask for Renata as your tour guide. Not only will you learn about Portuguese history, you will learn how to take better photos with your iPhone! Her knowledge & enthusiasm surpassed her energy & she was energetic! She was more than helpful.
