Amazing way to see the city!! - What a trip!! Honestly such a lovely way to see sintra, get from point to point and really take everything in! The tour was perfect for us, really small group really relaxed and so many spots we wouldn’t have found ourselves. Our tour guide Rui was amazing, showed us his favourite spots, and took us to an amazing portuguese restaurant for lunch. All the sights are beautiful and you get enough time to really soak it all in. Be prepared to walk!! Cannot recommend enough, so glad we went :)

Great tour! Guide Ines was amazing - Incredible tour! If you want to really focus on Sintra without the additional beach excursions that other tours offer, this is the one to do. Our tour guide Ines was great from start to finish. Her expertise was clear and she led an efficient tour. We enjoy taking in the sights around us, and we never once felt rushed at any stop. Lots of walking, which we were fine with, but be sure to bring comfortable shoes.

Amazing day in Sintra! - What a beautiful place to visit! Exploring the little streets in Sintra was lovely and the two palaces we visited were well worth the visit! Our guide Leonor was amazing! Her knowledge was great and her recommendations for eating and drinking were really helpful! Amazing day, thank you!

Strenuous Day - The walk up the mountain to Pena Castle in 85 degree weather was very, very strenuous. My step count for the day was 13,000.

This one day tour is one... - This one day tour is one of the best tours i have completed in many a year not just because Sintra is a charming town but because Regaleira and Pena Palace are exceptional and highly recommended. But the experience was incredibly enhanced by the tour guides particularly Andreia Ferreira who is fantastic, charming and informative

Marvelous tour exceeds expectations in the joy of the experience and the tour service!!! - Marvelous tour exploring Sintra, Pena Palace & Regaleira! Exceeded expectations for our multigenerational family of 8, ages 15-82. We chose the ticketed tour option to see the inside of the palace (definitely worth the time & cost!). Our friendly & extremely knowledgeable guide Carlos P. and talented driver Sergio navigated our small tour group of approx 17 to all our destinations timely & organized. We felt we were in good hands throughout. Our family typically uses public transportation & purchases tickets on our own, on research of the logistics with timed tickets to the palace & Regaleira we are very glad we purchased this tour instead & did not have to wait in any lines, nor worry about time nor travel through the city at all. We enjoyed every moment! As a travel advisor I will be highly recommending this tour to family/friends & clients! Thank you Carlos P. & Sergio for a family experience full of memories that will last a lifetime!!!

Hoping for better Customer Service - I looked at many tours of Sintra that included guided visits to Palacio Peña and Quinta da Regaleira. Many of them do not include tickets to visit the interior of these palaces, which is why this one led by Tugatrips was so appealing to me.
When we got to Sintra I asked the tour guide Carlos about the tickets to visit the interior of Palacio Peña, and he said the tickets were not included in my tour. I explained several times that they were and that I paid $100 more for the option that included the tickets to visit the interior of Peña. However, Carlos insisted they did not. He told me I should contact Viator and work it out with them.
I have traveled extensively and taken many tours, and when a guest explains that there is something included in the tour, then the expectation is that the tour guide contact the company they work for and explain to ensure what the customer paid for is delivered. That is good Customer Service.
That is not what happened. I had to call the Tugatrips office myself and explain that I was told by our guide that the visit to the interior of Peña Palace was not part of the tour. They shared that they could not find the tickets but would ensure we would get to visit the inside of the palace.
This made for a very stressful experience.
We did get to visit the interior of the palace as eventually this was resolved. The rest of the trip was good and the palace/Regaleira were beautiful and well worth visiting.
