The palace is an 18th-century architectural marvel that includes a 16th-century monastery, surrounded by a sprawling park filled with lush greenery, lakes, chapels, and hidden corners. Often called the Enchanted Palace or Disney Palace, visitors can explore the park for 1.5 hours before reaching the terraces to enjoy the breathtaking views and magical atmosphere. Please note that the palace’s interior rooms are not part of the visit due to crowd management and time constraints. The entrance fee for the park and terraces is €7.50. Total time allocated: 40-minute commute + 90 minutes for the visit.

• Centro Historico de Sintra - After visiting Pena Palace, it’s a 15-minute drive down the mountain to the historic center of Sintra. This is the second stop, where visitors can explore the center, home to the Royal Palace of Sintra and the charming town of Sintra, and enjoy a lunch break with local delicacies. Although this is free time, recommendations on what to see and where to eat will be provided. The Historical Center is surrounded by stunning architecture, including the Moorish Castle perched atop the mountain. Total allocated time: 15-minute drive + 90 minutes of free time.

• Tivoli Palácio de Seteais - This 18th-century palace, now a hotel, offers one of the most picturesque viewpoints in Sintra, almost like a framed picture.

• Quinta da Regaleira - Sintra is known for its extravagant structures, and none are more fascinating than Quinta da Regaleira. The main house, with its eccentric neo-gothic style, stands out amidst the greenery, but the gardens are the true highlight: hidden caves, an inverted tower with a spiral staircase leading to a well, the Holy Trinity Chapel, and the site’s symbolism and mysticism are awe-inspiring. The entrance fee is €11 per person. From Quinta da Regaleira to Cabo da Roca, the journey takes 30 minutes. Time allocated: 30-minute trip + 90-minute visit.

• Parque e Palacio de Monserrate - Monserrate Palace, rebuilt in the 19th century, has a history that predates the formation of Portugal as a nation.

• Cabo da Roca - As the westernmost point of the European continent, Cabo da Roca was once thought to be the end of the world. “Where the land ends and the sea begins,” Cabo da Roca is a stunning location. The drive from Cabo da Roca to Cascais takes 30 minutes.

• Guincho Beach - Part of the Sintra Cascais Natural Park, the dunes of Cresmina and Guincho Beach remain in their wildest form, showcasing their natural beauty to visitors.

• Cascais - Cascais Bay is the final viewpoint of the day. This quaint fishing village transformed into a resort for the elite, yet it has retained its original charm and preserved its heritage. The drive from Cascais to Lisbon along the coastal road takes 40 minutes to return to the starting point.
