Explore Lisbon’s landmarks from the riverfront on a guided tour.

Take in the city’s skyline and learn about the Castle of St. George, the National Pantheon, the statue of Christ the King, the Monument to the Discoveries, and the Tower of Belém.

Assist our marine biologists in developing the MicroPlastic network and collecting marine debris along the journey. The MicroPlastic network will be deployed for 20 minutes in the middle of the Tejo River canal at a slow speed (3 knots) and 10 minutes will be dedicated to analyzing the collected materials. This data is crucial for our research on microplastics in Lisbon and will be shared with our partner research institute.

The crew will also discuss the threats to marine biodiversity in the area, the challenges of plastic pollution, and the monuments visible from the river.

All participants will wear life jackets throughout the trip, even though the speed is low.
