A visit to Portugal, actually - Alex, our guide, was so interesting and knowledgeable and proud of where he lives, and all of that made the trip so remarkable. No crowds, even in Evora, and an up close view of Portugal outside of Lisbon. We almost got back to Spain! We always try to get a feel for how people in a place actually live, and for how the entire country looks; not just the big in city attractions which are always swamped. We got that and are happy we did. It was a long day, but Alex made it very easy. His explanations added depth to the visuals and he clearly listened to us and what we were interested in. The van was comfortable, lunch in a small hilltop restaurant was delicious and the wine experience worth the trip. It is hard to imagine how one could go wrong with Alex, regardless of where you were to go. Highly recommend.

Superb tour - This was a really worthwhile day-trip from Lisbon. Besides the two beautiful towns of Évora and Monsaraz, we were able to see so much of the countryside of the Alentejo region, which is full of vineyards, olive groves, and Alqueva Lake (Europe’s largest manmade lake). The Chapel of Bones and Roman Temple were highlights in Évora, but the whole town was stunning and we were glad we visited. Monsaraz was small, but we enjoyed the food and wine and exploring the old village and medieval castle. We felt like the only people there at times, which made this tour far more relaxing and comfortable compared with some of the more touristy areas like Sintra. Our experience was greatly enhanced by our tour guide, Alex, who was knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. He tailored the tour to our interests and gave us ample time to explore while making sure that our questions were answered and we were comfortable and entertained. I would gladly take another tour with this company and especially with Alex as a guide.

A Blast into the Past - Well worth the trip, which involved alot of driving. The places we saw today was definitely unique. The Church of the Bones was one of those unique sites in Evora. Also the site of inquisition. Lots of hills to climb. Monsarez also unique. Like a ghost town with apparently only a small number of residents. Absolutely gorgeous views. Leo was knowledgeable and related the facts in an understandable way. Also able to provide other information on unrelated topics. Little uneasy with the speed limit of 120 km per hour, but made it home safely.

History, views and wine tastings - The tour of the villages was very enjoyable. Our guide, Rodrigo, was personable and engaging, providing interesting historical facts throughout. The ride was pleasant and Rodrigo made sure the van was cool when we returned from our tours. We had sufficient free time to look around on our own. In Evora, the Chapel of Bones was truly unique. The medieval town of Monsaraz was charming and the views from the top were beautiful. We had a delicious traditional Portuguese lunch there. The wine tastings were also a nice highlight and well curated. We particularly enjoyed the pace of the tour and the lack of big crowds. Definitely worth doing.

Alentejo at its best - A really enjoyable full day trip to Evora and Monsaraz with an excellent driver guide Hugo. Je helped me as I have mobility issues and recommended a very good restaurant in Monsaraz for lunch.

Long trip, but worth it - The guide took us to several interesting spots of historic relevance in Evora. The wine tasting was great and we got to know a lot about the Alentejo region. The Monsaraz castle village was especially charming. Do note that these places are very far appart, so you will be spending a lot of time on the road.

Well Organized - This was a bilingual (English Portuguese) tour with only 5 tourists, so it was easy to cover the itinerary. Ines was an informative, pleasant guide and a good driver. The van seemed new and was very comfortable. Time was managed well and we avoided the large tour groups in Evora.

Could be better. - The script is very interesting, in Evora could have more guided visits in other places. In Monsaraz we had little time for wine tasting and visit. There was no water to serve us in transport, lack of attention to the needs and interests of the participants.

Itinerary thoughts - The tour guide, Nuno was wonderful and gave us much history that made the sites more meaningful. He was prompt and the communication was excellent. The one reflection we have is that this particular tour was not our best choice. In hindsight, we would choose a tour that spends more time in Évora and skip Monsaraz. We had very little time in Evora. The walk with our guide to see the Chapel of bones and the Roman site was perhaps 30 minutes total, then only 20 minutes for shopping. We did not get lunch there but drove another hour to Monsaraz. IMO, that was too much driving for little reward. And the wine tasting in Monsaraz was at a tasting room, which they also have in Evora! I think it would be wonderful if this company offered a tour to just Evora, with the wine tasting, and 2 hours shorter. In any case, thanks to our guide!
