Depending on the availability of the wineries, the tour will either explore the Torres Vedras or Alenquer wine regions, both conveniently located about an hour’s drive from Lisbon.
• Torres Vedras - The drive from Lisbon is swift and pleasant, allowing more time to be spent at the wineries rather than on the road. Visitors will have the chance to tour a family-owned winery and cellar, taste premium wines, and explore the vineyards in a 4x4 vehicle. The ride is smooth and enjoyable, offering picturesque views perfect for photography, regardless of the season.

Additionally, the experience is enhanced by a guided 4x4 tour through the vineyards, often led by the winemaker or a family member who owns the estate, making it truly special.

• Torres Vedras - (Optional) As the time to return to Lisbon approaches, there is an option to extend the visit. If time permits and there’s interest in dining locally, there are exceptional local restaurants available, including those offering special menus with wine pairings. Alternatively, continue exploring the region until the day’s end. The team is eager to share some remarkable sites beyond the usual tourist spots.
• Lisbon - Return to the Lisbon area with a brief journey of about an hour. The entire trip lasts between 5 and 7 hours, depending on the duration of visits and whether lunch is included. For transparency, it’s noted that in addition to the 3 hours allocated for the itinerary’s attractions, the remaining 2 to 4 hours account for: 2 hours of total travel time, and 2 hours for optional activities.

• By choosing this private activity, you’re choosing a free trip for children under 11, plus a reduced trip ticket for youngs under 17 and a 100% sustainable car trip, as all GHG emissions generated are fully offset.
• The Operator is licensed by the Portuguese Tourism Authority and complies with all legal health, safety and insurance regulations.
• It is mandatory to book 1 seat per child, regardless of age and even if it is mentioned that it is free.
• Not recommended for small children unused to travelling by car (up to 1H between stops, up to 7H for the day).
• All the highlights of this tour are easily accessible. However, there may be some attractions with more limited accessibility.
• Not allowed to travel with non-folding wheelchairs or strollers.
• The remaining hours are travel time and eventually optional visits/lunch.
• All the walks are relatively short and of easy-to-moderate physical demand. Participants do not need to have a high level of physical fitness.
• Expect a 5-7 hours journey, depending on the pace you want to go and the optional visits you make.
• Please be aware that in Portugal the legal drinking age is over 18. Also be aware that all the wines included in the program are served on a tasting basis and therefore the quantity is limited. In addition, during the tour, the Tour Operator or the Winery may refuse to serve wines, whether or not included in the program, to anyone who behaves inappropriately due to alcohol consumption.
• Please note that although the tour can be done in one of the 4 languages available, the visits and wine tastings at the wineries will be done in English or Portuguese. Also note that although the tour is private, the visits and tastings at the wineries can occasionally be done in groups with other visitors. However, if this happens, we will ensure that it is done in a very small group.
• Please also note that if any participant decides not to take part in the activities included at the wineries, either in the visit or in the tasting, they will not be entitled to any refund.
• Primarily, but not guaranteed, this tour takes place in a Volvo SUV or a Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan.
• For reasons beyond the control of the Tour Operator, it reserves the right to alter or cancel any service without prior notice due to the impossibility of carrying it out. It further informs that in the event of impossibility of access, by road or on foot, to any site or impossibility of visit to any attraction listed in the itinerary, the customer will not be entitled to any refund.
• By booking this Activity: you acknowledge that photographs and videos may be taken during the Activity; you consent that these may be published by the Tour Operator, either online or offline; and you agree to waive any rights of ownership or earnings at any time over these records. If you do not accept this, simply inform the Tour Guide on arrival at the start of the Activity.
