- Livingstone - Clients will be picked from their lodging place in the morning and driven to the check in point at the top of the gorge where the safety briefing will be done. - Livingstone - Clients will be picked from their lodging place in the morning and driven to the check in point at the top of the gorge where the safety briefing will be done. After the safety briefing , clients will be required to complete the indemnity forms and hand over all their valuables for safe keeping. Clients will be helped to wear their rafting gear. Clients will then walk down the gorge to the starting point of the rafting trip. Clients will raft from rapid 1-10 which is from the boiling point to rapid 10. While rafting clients will be asked to paddle through class III - V rapids. At rapid 10, clients will be requested to disembark from the rafts and hike-up the gorge, which is about 750ft while carrying their rafting gear. Water will be provided during the hike.
When the clients get at the top of the gorge , they will be served with lunch and soft refreshing beverages. After lunch , clients will be requested to get their valuables and board the vehicle back to their lodging place. This is a 30 minutes drive back to Livingstone Town.

Best day out! - Amazing experience!! It just the rafting but the customer experience was second to none! All the staff were amazing and extremely helpful! Friday, clement and ayoba really made me feel special! Overall 10/10 experience! Would recommend to anyone who wants to do rafting!!

Super rafting trip against incredible backdrop - We had a great day with Ayoba and his great team from Mavumina! It wasn’t just another touri-fun activity but a real nature-culture-sports experience in the beautiful canyon of the Zambezi. We were super looked after from start to finish, everything was explained very well and we always felt safe on the water - even when falling out of the boat;-) We had a lot of fun on and in the water and with the team, but you should know that in the meantime it gets really sporty when paddling and especially when climbing out of the canyon after the tour. We would also recommend long-sleeved clothes to everyone, we got quite burned despite sunscreen... After the delicious lunch you get a good insight into life on the way back to the town, which we also found very impressive. We would definitely recommend Ayoba and his team! As the only local providers, they do a great job!

An unforgettable adventure on the Zambezi river - We have never done white water rafting before, but the whole team was so patient and accommodating with us, that you immediately felt like a part of the crew. Thank you captain Ayoba and your professional, friendly team for this incredible adventure and great memories. It was a pleasure to meet all of you. We definitely also appreciated an amazing home cooked lunch, great pics and highly professional video package, as we “concurred” the Zambezi rapids :)
Because we only had limited time in Zambia, we were only able to do a half day activity. But, we are definitely coming back for more!
So, if you are headed to Livingstone at anytime, I would highly recommend going white water rafting with captain Ayoba and his incredible team.

The best way to connect with nature❤️ - White water rafting is so far the best activity I have ever done, it was so peaceful,beautiful views the mountains and we learnt a lot from our knowledgeable captain and the team gave us the best services.I highly recommend rafting !!

A fantastic expedition with a very welcoming team - This was a one in a lifetime experience with friendliest people ever. Go local and go with these lads. Shout out to Clemence, Friday and Emanuel who helped me stay safe and got me in and out of the Zambezi safely.
Fantastic experience and I cannot rate them any higher, I'd give 6 stars if I could !
Will absolutely do it again and this time ALL the rapids

Had a once in a lifetime experience to do white water rafting with wonderful scenery working together to ride the wave. - We recently engaged Mavumina Safaris and Tours in Livingstone for a white-water rafting adventure, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience! As someone who isn’t very confident in challenging activities like this, I was initially very nervous—especially about the possibility of falling out of the boat.
However, our raft guide, Miyoba, was truly exceptional. He listened to my concerns, reassured me, and went out of his way to prioritize my safety and comfort throughout the entire trip. His professionalism and encouragement allowed me to relax and fully enjoy the experience.
The entire team, including the staff - Stick and porters, was incredibly supportive and well-organized. Thanks to their care and guidance, this adventure became one of the best memories of my trip to South Africa.
I highly recommend Mavumina Safaris and Tours for anyone looking to explore white-water rafting in Livingstone, and I can’t recommend Miyoba enough as the best raft guide! Thank you for making this experience so special!

An exhilarating, fun, and memorable day! - Get ready for a deeply memorable, breathtaking, and fun trip! Mavumina Safaris provided the transportation from the hotel, a crew of capable paddlers to round out our raft (this trip only had a few clients on it, and other area firms may cancel your trip if they don't have a raft of full paying clients), and provided an expert river guide. They balanced rafting competence with a fun attitude, offered water, snacks, drybags, and plenty of stories. The four hours on the Zambezi were a highlight of my trip to Zambia.
Be ready for a leg workout! The Zambezi flows through a 200m gorge in the Livingstone area, and the only way to get on the river and back is to climb down and climb back up. The crew allows for plenty of time to navigate down and back up, but when they mention that the climb is the most physically challenging part of the experience they are not joking. It's totally worth it though, as the view from the top of the gorge is magnificent.
This tour company provides services beyond rafting as well. After my rafting they took me on a guided trip through the nearby Mosi-O-Tunya national park, where plenty of giraffes, rhinos, zebras, elephants, and impala were all visible.
Highly highly recommend the rafting experience in general, and Mavumina Safaris in particular!

The Zambezi experience - The trip was amazing, the views were breathtaking.The guides were incredibly professional but so much fun as well.
We could not have asked for a more exceptional group of people to bring us down the mighty Zambezi. They had so much knowledge about the river, and got us through some crazy grade 5 Rapids, I loved every moment of it.
I was in awe of how much detail is involved in the trip. From the types of paddling, to which lines to use on the river, to the grades of the Rapids, the hiking in and out of the gorge e.t.c.
We all especially appreciated how well they got us to all work together as a team, a good reminder of how interdependent we are on each other. Each of our efforts were needed to ensure we had a successful trip.
This was so much more than just a trip for me, it was something I will treasure for the rest of my life.
Thank you Mavumina for an unforgettable experience.
