• Lake Bohinj - Bohinj and its surroundings are renowned for their ethnological significance and as a protected natural area. The tour will pass through charming villages along the Sava River, featuring many Toplar hayracks and bee hives, as the region is famous for its beekeepers and local honey production.

A brief stop at Lake Bohinj, nestled in the heart of the Julian Alps, reveals this natural gem, offering endless opportunities for outdoor activities. Over a third of the lake’s water comes from Karst springs beneath its northern shore. During heavy rain, the Karst waters emerge as the Govic spring on the Pršivec hillside.

• Waterfall Savica - A visit to Bohinj is incomplete without seeing one of Slovenia’s most famous and picturesque waterfalls. Reaching the waterfall involves a roughly 30-minute walk up a partially paved and well-maintained forest path with about 500 steps, featuring benches and scenic stops along the way. The waterfall itself cascades 78 meters into a large water sink.

This inspiring sight has been celebrated by renowned Slovenian poets and writers.

• Lake Bled - A stop at Bled on the return journey will be possible if time allows.

After a delightful half-day experience, the tour will return to Bled and Ljubljana.

Today’s enchanting journey begins at Lake Bohinj, Slovenia’s largest natural lake formed by glaciers. While Bohinj may not have the glamour of Bled, it is less crowded and offers a more genuine experience. The adventure continues along the main tributary, the Savica River, through the untouched forests of Triglav National Park, leading to the enchanting Savica Waterfall. This waterfall is unique among the world’s waterfalls, as its watercourse splits into two parts underground. The renowned A-shaped waterfall emerges at an altitude of 836 meters and stands 78 meters tall.
