Velika Planina is Slovenia’s largest highland pasture, often hailed as the most beautiful Slovenian plateau. It offers breathtaking vistas of the Alps and the Ljubljana basin, along with a rich herdsmen’s heritage that is well-preserved.

• Savinjska dolina - After exploring the mountain and savoring traditional Slovenian cuisine, guests return to the transport, ready to head to the next destination. The journey continues along the Savinja River in the Solčavsko region, leading to the Logarska Valley.

This full-day excursion offers a visit to two of the nation’s most stunning alpine regions, blending scenic mountain paths, traditional culture, and pristine nature.

The journey begins with a drive from Ljubljana to Velika Planina, Slovenia’s largest highland pasture. Participants will enjoy a guided hike across the plateau (lasting 2–3 hours), meandering among traditional herdsmen’s huts while taking in panoramic views of the Alps and the Ljubljana Basin. The pace and route are always tailored to the group.

Following the descent, the tour continues through the picturesque Savinja Valley to the breathtaking Logar Valley, one of Europe’s most beautiful alpine valleys. At the valley’s end, there is an easy walk to the magnificent Rinka Waterfall, where nature remains truly unspoiled.
