Originally developed around canals in the early 19th century and home to many who contributed to the railway networks, Camden was thrust into the 1960s counterculture spotlight by Pink Floyd’s performance at the Roundhouse.

Camden Town succeeded Soho as London’s bohemian heart and has transformed into a bohemian, artistic, and musical cultural center since the 1980s.
