Check it out! - Second time visiting and it is a great place to spend an hour or so learning about Greenwich mean time and the prime meridian line.

Meridan Line - Wonderful museum, amazing views of London. I highly recommend arriving by 1:00 if possible to see the dropping of the ball. We had a delicious lunch at the Triangle Tavern on the water before making our way up the hill.

Simply an incredible day! - We visited on a crazy hot day, so the walk up the hill to the Observatory was a challenge, but well worth the climb. If you do have difficulty walking it is a tricky climb so bear that in mind. The show in the Planetarium was fantastic, and well worth seeing. I would suggest, especially on a weekend, that you book in advance as it is only a small theatre and seats sell quickly. The Observatory was interesting, with plenty to see and do. You can book a guided tour, but I think you are as well doing it yourself and taking as long as you like!

Not worth it - Not much to see, too bad. The exciting thing was the large telescope, which you can reach via a small spiral staircase. The entrance fee is far too expensive in relation to what you can see. The park nearby is beautiful.

Not worth it - Eye wateringly expensive for what it is. Limited information, limited things to see. Feels as if the museum is behind the times, not nearly as good as the maritime museum experience. When I asked if there was an accessible way to see the telescope, I was question about whether I had a ticket.

£48 for 2 adults was not good value... - Have always been intrigued to go to the Royal Observatory, having been close many times over the years. But entry price is extortionate. £24 per person is full London tourist rip off price. Definitely not value for money. Sure, it had some interesting moments but not £24 worth. Best bit were the rooms above the shop. And, if you are into your Instagram pictures, a shot with the Meridian line would be on your hit list. Wish we hadn't bothered to go in. Would have been better to see from the outside and enjoy the views over London from Greenwich Park. If you have an interest in architecture, wander over to the other side of the park and look at Vanbrugh House, former home of the famous architect. Not accessible but interesting to see exterior.

Beware : the Viator voucher does not work at this place - The observatory staff could not read the vouchers / barcode provided by Viator and we had to purchase tickets again. Not recommended to book via Viator - best to buy tickets at the entrance since it is not so crowded. You pay extra to buy tickets on Viator and get a bad surprise when you try to access the observatory. Not recommended at all!
