I recommend this tour. - I highly recommend this tour. MaCrea was our tourguide and took his time to answer all our questions and made sure that we understood the murals and monuments we passed. It is an intense and emotional tour but an important part of your visit to Derry (in my opinion).

Fantastic Bogside history walking tour - Amazing tour--a fascinating and moving exploration of the events before, during and after Bloody Sunday. Our guide Paul lived thru these events as a resident of the Bogside, and it was truly a gift to hear about his personal experiences combined with his encyclopedic knowledge of the relevant history and area. Highly recommended for any visitors to Derry, regardless whether or not you know much about the Troubles.

Another Five Star Review - A superb guide from Paul who lived through the troubles in Derry. It was a truthful and in-depth tour starting off with a good background as to what led up to them and events from the late 1960s. A good minutes before we started the walk from outside the Guildhall and we taken around the locations in the Bogside to be shown the locations of what happened where. An absolute must do for a stay in Derry.

Don’t miss this walking tour and museum - Don’t miss this walking tour, it was the highlight of our trip. We were extremely lucky a guide from the area, that had first-hand knowledge of the civil rights movement as it grew across the 60s and 70s. The walk ends at The Museum of Free Derry where we learned even more about the struggle for truth, justice and peace. Highly recommend.

Canadians in Derry - An Incredibly Memorable Tour - We just finished an incredible walking tour with John. We had a small group, which allowed for a very intimate and informative (not to mention personalized) tour experience. Not only was John incredibly warm and informative, but he shared such powerful personal details throughout the tour which really underscored the gravity of Derry's living history. We soaked up every anecdote and fact, and would have continued following him around town long after the tour ended, if it wouldn't have been weird! While we were only in Derry for less than 24 hours, this tour made such a lasting impact. John's sense of humour, obvious community connections (he knew everyone!), his empathy, and his earnest desire to share Derry's truth made this truly a 10/10 visitor experience. Thanks, John!
