Waccamaw River Heritage Preserve - Guests float down to River Island to explore and relax. It is an 48 acre island located a half mile down river from our Outpost.

Spend a delightful afternoon drifting along the scenic Waccamaw River on an inflatable river tube or kayak. Feel free to bring along some snacks and beverages, or pick some up from our Snack Shack, to enjoy during your river exploration.

The trip duration can range from 25 to 45 minutes, depending on the river’s flow. Within the 3-hour reservation period, you can embark on 2 to 3 trips.

Upon arriving at our Outpost, you’ll discover:

• Fun and games: Enjoy our unique oversized yard games like Jenga, Connect 4, Corn Hole, and more.
• Amenities: We offer 4 restrooms, 4 changing rooms with hot showers, hammocks, swings, a large fire pit, picnic tables, and propane grills for your convenience.
