Our 90-minute express tour offers an easy walk to the front of the sign, while our 2.5-hour hike takes you to both the front and back of the sign.
- This tour is available as a 3 hour hike to the front and back of the Hollywood Sign, or an express 90 minute walking tour to the front of the Hollywood Sign - choose at checkout
- Please arrive 15 minutes BEFORE your ticket time to check in with your LA tour guide.
- If you don’t see your preferred time listed, Bikes and Hikes LA offers flexible private and group tour options—reach out to learn more.
- Young children are welcome to join this hike tour; we recommend this tour for guests ages 6 and up. Children participating in the hiking tour should be able to hike on their own. NO STROLLERS! For children under 6, we highly recommend choosing the 90 minute option at checkout.
- NOTE: Meet your guide OUTSIDE by the long white gate where the trailhead begins; they wear a neon yellow Bikes & Hikes vest. Do not bother the people at the houses in this neighborhood.
- Please allow ample time for traffic (welcome to LA!) and for parking. There is free street parking at this location- please follow all signs.
- Guests joining this Hollywood Sign tour should be in good health, and enjoy a walk on this Hollywood Hills tour

- We’ll be walking 4 miles (6.4 km) along what is widely considered to be an easy to moderate hiking trail on the Hollywood Sign Hike

Amazing - Michael was a wonderful touring guide, very informational and makes the walk very fun.
Would 100% recommend this walk to my friends and family. Michael encouraged us all and made the walk enjoyable and easy to do.
It was an amazing experience, and you really get to take it all in with the amazing views.

Amazing hike & tour guide - Mark was very kind and shared fascinating facts about the Hollywood Sign and Griffith Observatory. He gave us bottles of water and helped me take beautiful photos, as I was hiking alone. This tour offers an incredible view of LA from above. I absolutely loved it!

Unforgettable Hollywood Sign Hike with the Best Guide! - Mark was an amazing guide! The tour was a walk up to above the Hollywood sign and back. Along the way Mark shared interesting insights about the origins and story of the Hollywood Sign, the history of Griffith park and the upcoming of the film industry in los Angeles. Throughout the walk, he pointed out various landmarks and gave context to the views we were seeing.
In addition to the tour itself, Mark went above and beyond to make the experience special. He adjusted his walking pace to match the group, regularly checked in to see how everyone was doing, and included short breaks so we could catch our breath. He took the time to capture amazing photos of us along the way and at the end, he even handed out a helpful sheet with recommended restaurants, activities, and walking routes to explore other parts of LA — a really thoughtful extra touch.
Thanks to Mark, this tour became one of the highlights of our LA trip and gave us memories we’ll always treasure.

Best guide with beautiful views and a great story! - Had a great time with Mark! He really showed us around the hills and up to the sign, told great stories with great enthusiasm! Plenty of time to rest if you need it. A big plus is that he great photographer, got a lot of good pics because of him.
We (being not natives) had a lot of questions and it was quite surprising he had an answer for it all.
Highly recommend the tour and if you can go with Mark that’s a big plus!
Tip: bring plenty water and sunscreen. (Luckily mark had some sunscreen for me).

Fantastic Experience with Noelle - Noelle was such an incredible guide for our Hollywood Sign hike! She had amazing energy and kept the whole group engaged with fun stories, interesting history, and lots of local knowledge. She was super approachable, answered every question thoughtfully, and always checked in to make sure everyone was comfortable, hydrated, and enjoying the experience. The hike was beautiful, but Noelle really made it special with her positivity and care for the group. Highly recommend her if you’re looking for a guide who’s both knowledgeable and genuinely fun to be around!

Unforgettable Hollywood Sign Experience with Noelle - I took a guided tour of Hollywood Sign with Noelle and it was a great experience! Noelle was super nice, funny and always ready to answer any questions. Along the way he told us about the city’s curiosities and history, making the walk even more interesting. He also took beautiful photos of each of us in front of the sign, suggesting poses and movements, so as to have perfect memories of the experience. Highly recommended!
