Perfect Father’s Day outing with my son - This was my son’s first visit to Universal and he loved it. My son loves theme parks and all the rides so it’s a new brainer that we visit them every few years as he grows. Below are some tips which might be useful. 1. This is not a huge park. You can easily cover it in a day. We got the Unlimited express Universal pass and it was completely worth it. My son did each ride multiple times and the number of times he did some rides was in double digits. 2. If you get a large/medium bag pack then you might have to rent a locker or alternatively use the child swap area and let some person hold on to the bag pack while the other ride and swap. 3. There is a huge water play area so get some extra clothes for kids if they want to cool off in the afternoon there. I regret not getting one. You can also get wet in the Jurassic ride. 4. Most of the thrill rides are in the lower lot but the best ride (Harry potter) is in upper lot. With the express ticket it didn’t matter but without it I would recommend go to lower lot and get that done and then come back up 5. I wouldn’t recommend paying for preferred or in front of the park extra parking cost. General parking should be sufficient. It’s maybe a 10-15 minute walk to reach park 6. I wouldn’t recommend paying for early access to Mario land. The Mario browser was an ok ride. We didn’t even repeat it. 7. They allowed outside food. Carry some snacks and water bottles if you want to save from paying the exorbitant prices in there of those inside. Overall, it’s not a huge park so you should be able to get through all the rides in an entire day easily. We were done with all rides with express pass by 2:00 p.m and them spent till 7:30 pm repeating the rides we liked the most multiple times.

Christopher the Studio Tour guide is THE BEST - Had an amazing time. Was nervous about going alone but had an absolute blast. A shout out to Christopher the tour guide who mentioned he'd be retiring soon. You guys need to hold on to him with both hands and he was next level. Wonderful, wonderful guide.

An amazing day spent exploring! - The Universal Express ticket was so worth it! Great environment, very inclusive, variety of food available on site and so well organised and courteous staff.

Great price - Great prices compared to the gate prices. The express pass was also good as we jumped the lines. If you get there early you can pay $20 to upgrade your ticket and access parts of the park an hour earlier than everyone else which was invaluable.

Great experience. - Pros: No waiting times, efficient daily routine, all main attractions are feasible in one day. Especially with regular waiting times of ~60 minutes per attraction a big advantage. The park is very clean, well organized and pleasant to explore despite many visitors. Numerous restaurants with international food and snacks, good supply throughout the day. Cons: Both express ticket and food in the park are expensive. The portions are often not in proportion to the price. If you don’t buy an express ticket, you can only manage some of the attractions and have to be prepared for longer waiting times. The amount is often disappointing, especially for families or hungry people – there should be more to the price.

Delightful and dissapointing - Both good and bad IMO. First time back in 25 years. The negative: Far too many 4D experiences where screens are taking over every aspect of the park. Yes, some neat things can be accomplished using screens (Pet's Life), but it can also be overdone (all the rides). The park tour was also a major letdown although still enjoyable from a historic perspective. No King Kong, no Backdraft, no avalanche tunnel, etc. One of the tour guides explained the details of a fire, etc. Things happen. Positive: The character interactions are the highlight. Transformers was amazing. Interacting with Megatran (Hilarious), Bumble Bee, and Optimus Prime was fantastic. The other characters around the park are also very friendly and fun, including the ones just walking around (Dracula, Frankenstein, Beetlejuice, etc). The food is also not terrible, (although ridiculously expensive). Once the new roller coaster is completed, this will help round out the park's "Thrill" aspect. Universal is a half-day park at best currently. Still worth visiting but plan accordingly.

Studio tour was disappointing - It’s a small theme park. We got there at 10:00 am and had done everything by 3:30 pm. So not worth the $1600 price tag for five people. Studio tour was a huge disappointment. Much of it was blocked off due to filming. What we did see was just cheesey theme park “sets”. Skip Universal Hollywood and go to Orlando. It’s so much better.
