Must-visit spot when traveling to Los Angeles - Universal Studios Hollywood was absolutely amazing and totally worth visiting during my LA trip! Every part of the park is incredibly themed and full of details from classic movies. The Studio Tour was such a fun behind-the-scenes experience, WaterWorld live show was thrilling with stunning stunts and special effects, and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter felt so magical and immersive. All the staff were friendly and energetic, the park was clean and well-organized, and every ride and show kept me entertained the whole day. Perfect for movie lovers, families and solo travelers, I would definitely come back again and highly recommend it to everyone visiting Los Angeles.

Great day out! - Excellent day out. We have been to the Florida site a few times and this is a far superior ‘studios’ experience with the tour and the Kay out being accessible and small. Not as many thrill rides but a lovely day and much better layout. Very welcoming. Islands of adventure in Florida is the best universal park I have been to but this is a delightful second. You only need one day here.

Worth the money - So, it is expensive. The food, admission, and mark up on everything. BUT- paying more to get the express pass is worth every, EVERY PENNY, even in this crunch of economic strife. Your money is time, spend it accordingly. This is my second visit (first review) and again worth it. Using the express pass and getting in the door shortly after opening, we rode all of the rides (including the studio tour) in short order. This left plenty of time for snacks, actual dining (seating for a sit down meal became an issue- no express pass for that!). This visit we did not so the Water World stunt show. This was the only piece we missed. It was a full day, but we saw everything. Factors to consider when using my review to consider a trip to this location. I was able to use a military base to purchase tickets at a smaller discount than other locations. The add-on for express pass was not discounted. I was traveling with only my teenage daughter so I cannot comment on strollers, parent swap for rides, or other family related topics. Staff were helpful and pleasant. And in character! Yes- a wand chose us! Overall I would like to visit again in the future. On an unrelated note, the park is well kept. I have not reviewed Legoland officially on this platform. The difference in the upkeep of the LegoCity (sun damaged, spider webs, and in some disrepair) the Universal property is very well maintained, trash is orderly, and the spaces are newly painted.

Not worth the price - Loved the Simpsons area and the Water World show. The City Walk had a good selection of restaurants. Overall the whole experience is so expensive though. We paid over $130 for a regular ticket plus $40 for regular parking. They have a huge ramp with ample space yet they still charge $40!? Ridiculous. Then you walk over a mile from the ramp, through City Walk, to get to the gates of the park. Clearly designed to get you to spend more money but it just is too much. It was fun to go once but I wouldn’t go back. Many of the rides are virtual experiences instead of an actual ride or roller coaster. The virtual rides make us nauseous.

Overcrowded, expensive, hot and exhausting - We went thinking we were going to a movie studio, and there is a backlot tour, but this is really a theme park with really big rides. It was crawling with tens of thousands of people on a Tuesday. The average wait for a ride was 70mins - awful if you have children and worse if you have teenagers. The only way around it is the express pass - UD$84 per person over and above the US$104 entry price. Everything inside cost a bomb - food, drinks, souvenirs. I worried I was bankrupting myself every time my kid asked for something to eat. I just wouldn't waste my time in this place ever again.

If you like standing in... - If you like standing in lines all day you’ll love this. It was a complete waste of money! I would definitely NOT recommend!
