• 20 Bicknell Ave - Our Group Lessons are 2 hours long, featuring 20-30 minutes of beach training followed by 50-60 minutes in the water with instructors. The remaining time is for you to practice and enjoy using the surfboards we provide.

These lessons are ideal for beginner to intermediate students, with a minimum age requirement of 12 years. We use 8 and 9-foot foam top surfboards for safety reasons, and fiberglass boards are not permitted in Group Lessons.

Please note that this is a Small Group Lesson with a maximum of 4 participants, and you will be grouped with others. If you prefer a Private Lesson, we offer those as well.

Based in Venice Beach, we are FUN SURF LA, a surf school with a mission is to ensure you have a great time surfing. Whether you’re a first-timer or looking to improve your surfing skills, we’ve got you covered. We’ll start with a 30-40 minutes training session on the beach followed by an hour of practical surfing in the ocean with our experienced instructors. Afterwards, you’ll have free time to practice further and enjoy using our provided surfboards.

Our lessons are held on the iconic Venice Beach, one of California’s most renowned beaches. Here, you’ll get the chance to relish the ocean, gain surfing skills and immerse yourself in the unique bohemian atmosphere of Venice Beach.
