Pirate Dinner, Sunset, Show and Whales Oh My! - This was our last excursion on this trip and wished it was the first as we would have canceled all others! We saw whales, had entertainment, good food, fun crew and other tourists and a beautiful sunset! Usually it's hard to get 5 stars from both of us and the Yellow Buckaneer Queen Ship did it! When we go back, definitely doing again and on the Buckaneer Queen!

Definitely book this! - Honestly so fun. The guys who were the pirates were legit professional break dancers and it was very entertaining. We were very impressed and the food was pretty good as well!!

Excellent service - The animation team and staff are excellent, on December 18 I touched the red boat, if host very friendly, attentive, respectful, never made a difference between foreigners and nationals or any staff person, very good service, Only the photos are expensive the truth is the only detail I see wrong however they do not overshadow the service of all, in the end the photographer is not to blame as he does not put the prices

Beautiful sunset walk with excellent service and atmosphere!!! - We chose this tour for a coexistence of work friends, we had an amazing time! The tour is super well organized, every detail from when you arrive at check-in to when you get off the boat is carefully planned and makes it flow excellent!! The service was first class, we felt very well received and taken care of at every moment. The boat staff was attentive at all times for drinks, meals and assistance. The music and atmosphere were excellent and the show very fun. It is a short walk but with everything you need to have a good time!!! Also, the sunset walk was beautiful!!! We were able to take pictures of the arch, the sunset and we got cruises in the bay very close.

Good fun - Was a fun adventure. Great for the whole family. Food was great and we even got to see whales. Was a little difficult to eat on your lap, but not a big deal. They get everyone involved and it was a great time.

Scam by the agency (not best service) - I have a lot to say about the Red Pirate Ship Veracruz. It's not normally my style to comment, but I think this occasion is necessary. The crew is well-trained to dance, but not to serve as waiters or chefs (or bartender). The service is terrible. When I ordered food, they served me pork ribs, chicken strips, mashed potatoes, and steamed vegetables in a plastic bucket, like I was a prisoner. It looked unappetizing and unhygienic. The food tasted bad, and when I asked for something else, they didn't have anything. They didn't care. They also didn't provide a blanket when I asked for one because it was cold (other, cheaper boats offer this basic service). Before arriving at the port, they closed the open bar. I only had three beers, which I had to get up and ask for at the bar because the service is terrible. They closed the bar 30 minutes before returning to the port, or at least they denied me another drink. This is a totally bad experience. Other boats are cheaper and offer better food quality, shows, and service. I work in hospitality, and honestly, I wouldn't recommend this pirate ship.

Not great, no sunset, no costumes, no service! - We have done pirates all over MX, this by far was the worst. First off characters don't have costumes, servers on cell phones most of the time. You get on and are given some cucumber water drink, bar not open and if you ask for a drink they say No.. You get on, choose where to sit and see the crew, almost no costumes and no drinks. Finally get a drink, then we went out to the arch, which was cool, but the photographer was trying to get shots to later sell to you by the arch with each group, this took forever. We didn't get to go out by the yellow boat to see any sunset, NOT a sunset cruise with NO sunset view. After this they did a little intro, did a jump rope thing, which was fun, then got ready for supper.. which was the worst we have ever had on a pirate cruise or any excursion in MX, dry chicken, (which they said was pelican and hopefully joking) hard to eat ribs with not meat on them, dry dinner roll, some veggies, cold mashed potatoes..All trying to eat with no table or anywhere to set your plate or drink! After this meal, they did their little show, some good acrobatics, but not a pirate show.. and again during this you couldn't get drink service.. unless you sat by the bar. After the show, they asked for tips and they did a little group thing and made way to dock. Again we have done 7 or 8 pirate shows prior in MX and Florida..normally it's good entertainment with good food, but for $100 a person, this one was not worth it, Puerto Vallarta, Cozumel, Cancun are by far 100 times better and have better service and crew, dressed in costumes and in character the whole time, from check in.at the desk, waiting on line, up by the dock and up until you leave after their performance, never on cell phones. Not saying the whole show was horrible, the actors did do a good performance, besides lame lack of costumes.. But it definitely was not worth the price. Not sure if the yellow boat was better, we were on the red boat. We always recommend these shows to people wherever we travel in MX, but this one definitely will tell people to stir clear.
