My first hike – and I’m sure it won’t be the last. - What started as a spontaneous idea turned into an experience I’ll never forget. With each step, I found myself disconnecting from the rush of everyday life and reconnecting with nature – and myself. The trail wasn’t always easy. There were moments I was out of breath, questioning why I was doing this. But then came the views – breathtaking, calming, and completely worth the effort. The sound of wind through the trees, the crunch of gravel underfoot, and the simple joy of reaching the top reminded me how important it is to step outside of our comfort zones. This hike was more than just a walk through nature – it was a reset, a lesson in patience and persistence, and a reminder that growth often happens one step at a time. Already planning the next one 🌲💪 #FirstHike #NatureTherapy #OneStepAtATime #HikingAdventures

A genuine BCS experience! - Danny and Jordan go above and beyond! I planned a trip to Baja California Sur with 5 other friends and wanted to have experiences beyond the shallow tourism of Cabo and the resorts. This hike may have been the highlight of the trip overall: Ahead of the trip, Danny was available to answer questions and clarify anything before the activity date. He was also prudent to adjust the timing of our hike to consider heat/weather to maximize our enjoyment. Danny and Jordan were punctual to the pickup location and time, arriving in a comfortable, modern, and spacious vehicle. Along the drive to the hike, they educated us to the history of the region; ecologically, culturally, and economically in a conversational and very approachable manner. We stopped at a small, family ran, and locally sourced ice-cream stand with great charm for some mid-day relief from the heat. As we neared the hike, we also were able to tour a wonderful small town and the desert oasis it surrounds. The hike itself was truly special: an unassuming start point quickly grew to an incredibly beautiful series of clear pools from the mountain springs and creeks. We were able to stop and swim in a number of them, refreshing and magical in every way. The whole time, Danny and Jordan catered to every question, showed us every ecological point of interest, and brought more than enough supplies and provisions to adjust to everyone and their needs. We had a wide range of skill levels in our party, and both of them went truly above and beyond to make the experience comfortable, safe, and memorable. Whether you do the hike or any of their experiences, I can't recommend Dharma Expeditions enough. Please go beyond the confines of what vapid tourism offers and get to know Baja as it was meant to be experienced with Dharma Expeditions.

Exceptional Experience - Danny was an amazing guide! We were fortunate enough to have him all to ourselves. The hike itself is beautiful with just enough challenge for us. The sorbet stop was a nice touch along with the authentic meal after. Highly recommend this adventure.

Great Time! - Our hike with Danny was truly one of the highlights of our Cabo trip. It was a beautiful and grounding experience that brought us closer to nature and gave us a completely different perspective on the region. Danny picked us up right on time from our hotel and immediately made us feel at ease. On the way to the trail, we stopped at a small roadside ice cream stand just outside of Cabo that’s run by a local family. The ice cream is made from cactus and other regional ingredients, and our kids were in heaven trying exotic flavors like lavender. It was a special, unexpected treat that set the tone for the day. The hike itself was stunning. Danny shared so much insight about the history of the land, the Native Pericú people, and the ecology of the area. You can tell he’s a true expert, both in hiking and in his deep knowledge of the Baja landscape. Our two kids (14 and 11) are experienced hikers thanks to summer camp in the Adirondacks. My husband and I are much less seasoned, especially my husband, who wore sneakers instead of hiking boots. Danny was incredibly mindful of this and kept the pace comfortable, always checking in and making sure we felt safe and supported. I was dealing with a shoulder injury that day and had some mobility limitations. Danny was exceptionally considerate, helping us navigate the trail without pressure. One of the highlights for the kids was the chance to swim in a waterfall pool midway through the hike. Danny kept the overall length manageable for our group’s needs. The whole experience felt intentional, peaceful, and so connected to the land. We ended the hike with a delicious, authentic Ranchero meal at a local restaurant tucked right into the area. It was simple, rustic, and absolutely delicious. A perfect reward and a beautiful way to close out the day. In a vacation filled with luxury resorts and beach activities, this hike with Danny was a breath of fresh air. It was raw, natural, and deeply meaningful. We’re so glad we did it, and we’ll carry the stories, views, and peaceful energy with us long after the trip is over. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Cabo who wants to see the heart of the land and who’s lucky enough to have Danny as their guide.

Great hike! - It was a beautiful 2 mile hike. Trail is rocky much of the way so feels longer. Our guide Danny was delightful. Loved the meal at the end of the hike.

A different side of Mexico - This experience involves lots of laughing and walking punctuated by some steep climbs and delicious ice cream. It was truly a unique experience that turned out to be even more beautiful that I had hoped. It is a 10/10 adventure and I would tell anyone coming to this area to go with Danny and Jordan on this adventure!

An amazing hike - We had an amazing experience exploring the nature of Mexico with Danny. The night hike was the best part: hearing the sounds and seeing the bright stars was absolutely magical. Danny was very knowledgeable and kind. We enjoyed meeting his friends at the end of the trip and eating a traditional meal at their rancho. This is a must trip if you want to learn about Mexico outside of its resorts. Thank you, Danny!
