Unforgettable experience seeing the whales & dolphins - Amazing time with Payo and Captain Hugo - less than an hour in and we saw many dolphins and also humpback whales - unforgettable experience and highly recommend, thank you again!

Amazing and educational experience - We booked a private whale watching tour with Whale Watch Cabo as a surprise for our daughter, and it turned out to be one of the most meaningful experiences we’ve had as a family.
Our guide, Victoria, is a marine biologist, and that completely changed the tone of the trip. This wasn’t a generic “boat ride to spot whales.” She brought depth, context, and real scientific insight to everything we saw. You could feel her passion for marine life in the way she explained humpback behavior, migration patterns, and mother–calf dynamics. It felt like a floating field seminar—in the best possible way.
What stood out most was the clear commitment to the welfare of the whales. Victoria was deliberate about maintaining proper distance, cutting the engine when appropriate, and reading the whales’ behavior before repositioning the boat. She explained why each decision mattered. That level of care made it obvious this company prioritizes conservation over spectacle.
We saw multiple humpbacks, including a mother and calf, and the experience felt intimate without ever feeling intrusive. It struck the right balance between awe and respect.
As a surprise, this was extraordinary. Our daughter came away not just excited, but genuinely inspired. That’s a rare outcome for what could have been a simple tourist outing.
If you’re in Cabo and want something thoughtful, educational, and ethically run, book the private tour and ask for Victoria. It’s worth it.

A whale of an adventure.. - This was a really interesting travel to see whales. There were another two people and my partner and myself on the boat, along with Hector and Payo..
We opted to have a marine biologist on board and it was one of the better whale watching trips I've ever experienced. She was full of insight and experienced in talking about the whales from birth to adulthood. If you're going on a whale watch, I would recommend learning all you can during that period of time. Make sure you're on a boat with a marine biologist. you're on a smaller boat, you get pretty close to the whales.

Fabulous. - This was the best whale watching trip you could ever ask for. We saw so many humpback whales and our biologist Josephine was so knowledgeable we learned things we had never known about whales.

Amazing Experience - We went out on December 23 with Jo & Hector and it was an amazing experience. Since we had a group of 6 we chose the private option. We initially saw a few whales but then ended up getting quite the show, with what we learned was a rare experience for the time of year, with a double breach. We could tell that even Jo & Hector were excited about the action we were able to witness and we knew that this was a very special trip. Jo, the marine biologist on our trip was very knowledgeable and Hector was a great captain. They were both very engaged with us and explained what we were seeing. This was something I really wanted to do on this trip having never been to Cabo during the whale season. I highly recommend Whale Watch Cabo, the process of booking was easy and they arranged our transportation to and from our resort as well. Jo took a ton of amazing pictures so we could just sit back and enjoy the show! If you are on the fence about whether or not this experience is worth it - know that our trip definitely was and we will do this again if we find ourselves in Cabo during the season again!

Must do in Cabo! - We were blessed with a beautiful day and wonderful guides, Victoria and Kevin. She told us so much about whale behavior. It was fun and so fantastic to learn. I am so glad we got such a terrific tour!

The *MOST AMAZING EXPERIENCE* - We booked a private whale watching tour with Whale Watch Cabo and had the MOST AMAZING EXPERIENCE. Josephine and Captain Hugo were so kind, fun, and helpful and Josephine shared her knowledge of marine biology with us, pointing out sea lions, different species of birds, and of course providing information on the whales themselves.
We trusted their knowledge and experience and were glad we did as they tracked a spot where we got the most extraordinary encounter with two humpback whales who swam right along side the boat, close enough to touch (but we of course did not touch them). It was truly a magical morning and one we will be reliving over and over again with the help of the gorgeous photos and videos Josephine took and shared with us.
It was truly such a gift to get to spend time up close with these magnificent creatures and I'm so grateful for the experience.
I cannot recommend this highly enough––BOOK IT!!
