Setting Sail on a Sea of Adventure

Ahoy, fellow adventurers! If you’ve been following my family travel escapades, you know that I’m always on the lookout for activities that promise both fun and education for the whole family. This summer, we set our sights on the Cape May Dolphin Cruise and let me tell you, it was a splash-tacular experience!

Our journey began with a bit of a hiccup, as the original boat had a mechanical issue. But fear not, the crew’s communication was top-notch. They offered us an alternative port, which turned out to be even closer to our accommodation. Talk about a win-win! As a mom, I appreciate when things go smoothly, and their proactive approach was a breath of fresh sea air.

Dolphins, Danishes, and Delight

Once aboard, we were greeted with the warm smiles of the crew and the enticing aroma of complimentary coffee and pastries. My kids were thrilled to find a cozy spot at the back of the deck, shaded and perfect for dolphin spotting. And spot dolphins we did! The Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins put on quite the show, leaping and playing in the waves as if they knew we were there to admire them.

The onboard marine biologist was a treasure trove of information, sharing fascinating facts about the dolphins and the various bird species we encountered. My kids were captivated, and I loved seeing their eyes light up with curiosity. The hands-on experience with the sea creatures in the tank was the cherry on top, allowing the kids to touch and learn in a way that only a cruise like this can offer.

A Family Bonding Experience

As we cruised along the Cape May coastline, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the opportunity to share such a memorable experience with my family. The combination of education, adventure, and relaxation made for a perfect day out on the water. My husband and I enjoyed the chance to sit back and soak in the beauty of America’s oldest seaside resort, while the kids were entertained and engaged.
