Just about perfect:) - We did a 5 day trekking and 1 day kayaking with the guide Kham and the young man Neuk from a local village. We are a couple, 26 and 30 years old and we hike a lot back home. For us it was perfect and just how we imagined a jungle trek. The guides were super super kind, we had so much fun and both of them have such a huge knowledge, they can tell you about or show you! In January, the nights were quite cold (8-10°C). For sleeping I had wollen ski underwear, a tights and sweat pants, woolen socks, three pullover, a scarf and a beanie - and I was still cold. So if you freeze a bit faster as well, maybe bring one more thin to middle sleeping bag, so you can put one in another. I'm sure, that will help a lot as the sleeping bags provided are good but maybe one more would help:) the food was also very good, we didn't have any digesting problems. The guides bring enough rice, noodles and eggs and fresh vegetables (and meat if your not vegetarien) from the market for the first day and the days in between we had jungle food, which we enjoyed very much. In the homestays you get rice/noodles with fresh vegetables, too. As I already said, for us the jungle trek was perfect and we're very thankful for our guides Kham and Neuk and also for Tom for organising everything (also accommodation, shuttle, ...)!! Lovely greetings and all the best for you from Lucas & Alexandra:)

Epic - The trek went above and beyond all expectations. Our guide, Xai, is so knowledgeable, friendly, and good at what he does. He absolutely made the experience what it was. Inthong, another guide/ porter who joined from a local village was an absolute legend as well. He was over 60 and carried all of our food up mountain after mountain. I was beyond impressed. Super cool that the hiker supports the local village by rotating porters. I really liked that aspect. You will be fully immersed in the jungle. The trail was so faint at times that if you fell five seconds behind you feel lost. Which, in my opinion, is awesome. And, for the five day, you’re on a trail owned by the hiker so you probably won’t see any other people for the first three days. Xai and Inthong were both incredible cooks as well!! Jungle food….just wait. I tried foods I never dreamt of eating. And it tasted awesome! If you’re on the fence, just do it. You won’t regret it. My advice? If you go in the colder season, BRING WARM STUFF. I was cold af at night. Also the sleeping bag they provide is not warm so consider that. They don’t provide a mat so if you don’t want to sleep on banana leaves for a week, bring one.

Deeply impactful experience!! - One of the coolest experiences of my life. Xai was absolutely incredible and worked his ass off to ensure an immersive and educational experience. It was exactly what I was looking for and I learned so much about plants and wilderness survival skills. Inthong was 63 and carried lots of gear and food and showed deep knowledge of the jungle. I will never forget the magical experience that pushed me and fed my mind with inspiration. Thank you!!

Just do it !!!! - Had the best experience with Xai and Kham in the jungle. Didn’t see another tourist on the whole trek. Xai is an amazing chef, we were never hungry. The food was Michelin star honestly the best food I’ve had on my 6 month trip. We foraged lots of plants from the jungle ate insects and hunted fish, crabs and frogs. We built a shelter with banana leafs bamboo and other materials from the jungle. Honestly life changing couldn’t recommend more.

Xai is an amazing cook and I would do the trek again just for the food alone. Amazing views deep in the jungle. Highly recommend this experience especially with our guide xai! 10/10 experience

My beautiful experience - Is a beutiful and unique experience in the wild jungle of Laos. The guides were super professional and very good at guiding us and teaching us the secrets of the jungle. Thid is also an excellent cook, we ate very well and even the places for the night were equipped and safe. I highly recommend it as an experience to get out of everyday life and immerse yourself in another reality and in uncontaminated nature.

Backpackers and away into the jungle. Pai pai! - An intense and unforgettable 5-day experience in the Lao jungle! After meeting the guide, we passed by the main market to do the necessary shopping for the trek and then headed to a village near Luang Namtha, where we met another local who joined us. From there began a beautiful but challenging 60 km walk in the jungle: breathtaking landscapes, wild and silent nature, delicious food prepared on the spot. We slept 3 nights immersed in the jungle and one in a lovely local village, where they showed us their daily life. Thid and Nhi, our guides, were exceptional: generous, helpful and always with a smile. I shared this adventure with a friend and we had a great time. It certainly takes a good physical effort, but every effort is well paid off. Highly recommended!

Jungle hike with stunning views - Was an amazing experience. We hiked through dense jungle, alongside streams and mountain ridges. We were collecting Jungle Food (mushrooms, etc) on the way. We stayed 3 nights in the Jungle and one night in a lovely village. Truly loved my experience. I am a solo female traveller and felt safe at all times
