Begin your journey with a pickup from your hotel in the Surabaya area. Travel to Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, which translates to “a thousand waterfalls” in Javanese. Marvel at the 200-meter-high waterfall, resembling a grand curtain draping the cliff. After exploring Tumpak Sewu, proceed to Mount Bromo, situated in the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, then check into your accommodation and enjoy some leisure time.
Sunrise at Bromo and Relaxation at the Next Accommodation
Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park - Begin your day at 3:00 AM with a pickup to explore Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park in a jeep provided by local villagers. Witness the sunrise and hike up the most accessible volcano.
After the Bromo volcano hike, return to your accommodation for breakfast. Prepare to check out and head to your next accommodation near Mount Ijen.
Hiking Ijen Volcano, Blue Fire, Sunrise, and Ferry to Bali Island
Ijen Crater - On the following day, between the night of day 2 and the early morning of day 3 (midnight), drive to Paltuding (the starting point for hiking) for a briefing before beginning your hike to Mount Ijen (approximately 5-6 hours at Mount Ijen). Search for the blue flame and descend after sunrise. Take a break and enjoy breakfast after the activity. Conclude your tour at Ketapang Harbor, where ferry tickets will be arranged for your journey to Bali Island, or opt to return to Surabaya. (Please note that Bali time is 1 hour ahead of Java).
