• Longmen Grottoes - Begin the enchanting Longmen journey with a morning pickup from your Beijing hotel around 5:50 am. The driver will ensure a safe transfer to Beijing West railway station. Board the early train G87 (7:00-10:00 am) to Luoyang. Upon arrival, the Luoyang tour guide and driver will promptly meet you at the station lobby exit to visit one of the four renowned Grottoes — Longmen Grottoes, just a 10-minute drive away. These grottoes feature 2,345 Buddhist niches and over 100,000 statues, making it the world’s largest collection of stone carving art. • Shaolin Temple - After enjoying a delightful local lunch, continue to the Shaolin Temple, located about 60 kilometers away. Built during the Northern Wei Dynasty (495 AD), it is not only the birthplace of Zen Buddhism but also of Chinese Kung Fu. Known as the “ancestral home of Zen Buddhism and the holy land of Kung Fu,” it is celebrated as the “number one temple in the world.” Famous globally, it is said that “world’s Kung Fu originated from Shaolin, and Shaolin Kung Fu is the best in the world.”
