Wonderful trip to the highlands for the family! - We took the two day highlands tour with Alistair. It was fabulous, and he was a great guide! We saw so many beautiful sites and learned so much about the area. The tour is wonderful because if you stay in a certain radius, it will drop you off in the evening and pick you up the next morning over the trip. We thought Alistair was entertaining and did a great job navigating around the many wrecks in the highlands that day. We would definitely go again!

Two Tickled Travelers - Our guide, Adam, was the perfect blend of funny and informative who drove safely and was attentive to our comfort. We experienced a wonderful cross section of the Highlands with limited time in Scotland.

A tour I would recommend to my own family and friends! - Australian Mark was absolutely wonderful. He touched on every major scenic sight and shared his own personal experiences alongside. I really love how personal he made the tour and how he brought everyone in the group together. Very positive energy and exciting to be around! I would definitely do this tour again if I were to come back. Would highly recommend to others whether you’re going as a family, friends, or even for business. It’s a very thorough and intriguing tour.

A fantastic highland experience - We had a spectacular trip with Karis, our guide! A really great mix of Scottish/Highland history, nature, and culture. Karis took advantage of the wonderful and sunny weather we had for our trip and added on a couple of extra photo stops to get to see as much as possible on our journey. Couldn’t recommend this experience more to anyone visiting Scotland!

Great way to experience Scotland - We had a wonderful time on this tour. I was a little worried that only having 2 days would mean we wouldn't really be able to experience enough, but this tour proved me wrong. We saw loads, beautiful scenery, great storytelling and great historical sites. Jada was our tour driver and she was absolutely wonderful. Her love of Scotland shone through in everything she said. She was flexible, got to know our group well and made adjustments to the tour to make it even better for us as a group. We had a great mix of people on our tour, from my 16-year old daughter, to single adults, to retired couples. Everyone had a great time.

A great intro to Scotland - Gillian was a great guide and safe driver, wonderful little spots (yay hairy coos!!) and stories you'd never discover if all you did was search online. Food recommendations are SPOT-ON and you absolutely should ask her where to eat! Lovely choice of music throughout the journey too. Coach was clean, well-kept and modern; every seat came with 2 USB charging ports, very helpful when you have your camera app running constantly. All in all it was a wonderful and very comfortable tour and I wish I could do it all over again!

No lows in Timberbush Highland tour - Great two day tour of the Scottish highlands. Six of us from Dublin celebrating a big birthday. Tour gave a marvellous snapshot of Scotland in a comfortable coach with a very informative and highly amusing guide/driver Marty. We started in Glasgow and finished in Edinburgh which fitted very neatly into our trip to both wonderful cities. Recommend highly.

A Very Poor Experience! - In February 2025, I researched tours of Scotland for my upcoming trip in June with my adult daughter. We selected Timberbush Tours--Loch Ness, Inverness & The Highlands – 2-Day Tour as we wanted to see the Highlands and especially to visit Culloden. Our preference would have been to depart and return to either Edinburgh or Glasgow, but the only openings available were a pick up in Glasgow and a drop off in Edinburgh with return train tickets provided. This is what we booked. Pick up was to be in Glasgow; register at 1000 for a 1015 departure. Approximately two weeks before our trip I paid for and obtained tickets for the tour. The tickets clearly indicated to be at the pick up location to register at 1000 with a departure time of 1015. We were crossing the street to the pick up location at 0950 and saw a Timberbush van drive away but thought nothing of it until 1030 when our bus had not yet arrived. I contacted Timberbush, and after some delay were advised that we had been late arriving and the bus had left without us. They indicated we should have been there at 0935 and the bus had left at 0950 as scheduled. Fault was placed on ourselves, but they did offer to let us rejoin the tour the following day from Inverness if we could make our own way there. This we did incurring an additional cost of $90 CAD to take the public bus from Glasgow to Inverness. The following day, the tour guide/driver picked us up later than expected and the tour started at Culloden. We were permitted approximately 45 minutes to go through the lovely interpretive center, and then walk the moor. We could easily have spent half a day at that site! We then progressed to Clava Cairns, another amazing historical site, and were allowed 20 minutes to spend there. We could easily have spent double that. We stopped at a roadside market for lunch and were given approximately 90 minutes when 30 minutes would have been adequate. Then onto Ruthven Barracks, which is a striking historical landmark. We were given only 20 minutes there, then onto Pitlochry where we were given about 90 minutes to see the fish ladder, have a beer, or,what by this time was becoming apparent, to spend tourist dollars. During the drive our guide had been doing very little talking or providing little explanation of the countryside unless questioned. We did stop at The Hermitage, and he led us through that lovely national site with a guided explanation. I cannot speak to the first day of the tour, but our impression was definitely that we were given plenty of time to spend to our tourist dollars but insufficient time to enjoy the national landmarks. Following the tour, I did get a message back from the Timberbush manager acknowledging the departure time from Glasgow was their error and a 50% refund was provided. I requested reimbursement for the $90 CAD bus ticket to Inverness to rejoin the tour but received no response. The bus leaving us stranded in Glasgow was very stressful & frustrating. The remainder of the tour was improved by the natural & historic beauty of the destinations. My daughter and I were both very disappointed with Timberbush and do not recommend this company.

Highlands Trip. - Came down with COVID 19 5 days before trip - tour company offers no refund or voucher if cancelled within 7 days of trip. No COVID policy - very disappointing. Perhaps they wanted us to show up sick?
