Best Guide of the Highlands - We just spent the last two days with Andy as our guide of the Highlands and Glencoe. The knowledge, preparedness, and enjoyment of the tour, as delivered by Andy, was outstanding! I can’t imagine there’s a better guide out there - he has to be the best. If you’re wondering what guide to go with, Andy is your man.

Amazing tour and guide! - My son and I spent the day with Andy touring the Highlands, with Glencoe as our main destination. This was part of a 12 day trip across 3 countries and one of the absolute highlights! Andy was friendly, extremely knowledgeable about the area, and incredibly accommodating to our needs. We can’t recommend him enough - don’t delay booking if he’s available! Marge Brooks

Take the jump - book with Caley Pines - My sister, 10 yr old nephew, and I had a very short stop in Scotland as our first trip. We took a leap of faith and booked with Caley Pines and I’m so glad we did. Wow what an amazing day! From my last minute booking till now days later we are still talking about it! Andy blended history with fun local and film facts in addition to weaving some details about our family heritage even with only sharing our family details the day of! The snacks and drinks provided were a bonus and hit the spot especially mid day. Andy was able to read us very well throughout the day and ask if we wanted less history or a break in chatting or anything we wanted to ask about. I would book again in a heartbeat with Caley Pines and encourage you to reach out to Andy and the team! Also ask if you don’t want to do one of the defined tours 1 he is open to working with you to customize a trip to be what you are looking for! Already starting to think of when we can go back with some additional family members and will include Andy and Caley Pines as part of it!!

Fantastic Scottish Tour - whether you’re a first timer or come often! - We had an incredible tour trip with Andy and truly can’t recommend him enough! As this was our first time in Scotland, Andy took us to places we definitely wouldn’t have found on our own like locks, waterfalls, small towns and a great historical lunch spot. One of our favorite moments was getting to feed the Highland cows and pick up coo souvenirs! Andy is a safe and efficient driver (which is huge as I get car sick on windy roads), and his sense of humor made the day even better. What we enjoyed most was learning more about Scotland, not only the historical context but also recent Scottish happenings and politics. We’ve already recommended Andy to multiple people since coming home, and when return to Scotland, we would book him again in a heartbeat!

Highlight of our entire European cruise! - We booked a private tour with Andy Kidd during our European cruise last July/August, and it was without question the best excursion of our entire two-week trip. Andy picked us up and spent the day taking us to several incredible Scottish castles and scenic locations. From the moment we met him, he was warm, welcoming, and genuinely enjoyable to be around. He is extremely knowledgeable, but what really stood out was how engaging and entertaining he made the experience. His stories, historical insight, and sense of humor kept us interested all day long. Andy tailored the tour perfectly, never rushed us, and made sure we were comfortable and enjoying every stop. You could tell he truly cares about giving his guests an exceptional experience and takes great pride in what he does. If you’re visiting Scotland and considering a private guide, we cannot recommend Andy highly enough. This was a truly memorable day and a highlight we still talk about months later. Devon & Ramon

An honest Scot - wonderful experience! - The 4 of us (my sister, my mother and my daughter) went on an all ladies trip in summer of 2025. We had the pleasure of two private all days tours with Andy. We went on these tours knowing my 5 year old daughter and my 79 year old mom had different needs and likely this would be difficult to fulfill our expectations and keep us all entertained throughout. From the moment Andy picked us up to the moment he would drop us off - we were so pleasantly surprised at all that he delivered. He had thoughtful local snacks for us to try when he picked us up in his nice spacious van. He and my mom clicked right away, he had her up front so they could talk 1:1 as she is hard of hearing and a bit shy about it. When we got up close and personal to these amazing sites outside of the vehicle, he was able to engage and click with my 5 year old - playing tag or getting her a kids exploration packet at the castles. My sister and I - we asked candid questions about music and culture - he gave us all 1000 percent. He was so kind and friendly, it was an instant connection for all of us the vibe Andy gave. He shared historical and cultural tidbits - all while always making us laugh. If you are looking for a true Scot that will give you honest exposure to the beautiful historical sites, and breathtaking views, while being his friendly and kind self - well look no further - Andy is your guy.

Perfect way to see lots, quickly, without battling crowds. - We had a fantastic day out with Andy. He picked us up promptly from our accomodation and ensured that we saw all the highlights we wanted. He helped us find local places to eat and shop. He was extremely knowledgeable on local and national history, and provided a good overview of modern day Scotland. This was an excellent way to see lots of Scotland in a short time period, and the snacks provided were hugely welcome as we drove through the Highlands.
