This engaging and delightful walking tour** offers an opportunity to explore the rich stories, diverse cultures, and historical significance of the area, while also enjoying tastings from local winemakers.
Led by Marc, a certified UNESCO World Heritage Guide, wine educator/sommelier, and journalist, participants will hear captivating tales from the vineyards. Marc will also delve into the nuances of wine-tasting and appreciation, as guests unravel the mysteries of Swiss wine. Visitors will depart with cherished memories of this remarkable region.

- The walk is approx 3 km (1.8 miles), comfortable walking shoes, bottled water and sunblock/hat are advised are advised.

We meet guests directly at the Bossiere train station on the edge of Lavaux and proceed through the vines to Grandvaux. A direct train to this station leaves from Lausanne main station.

Fabulous experience, don’t miss it! - We wanted to explore the vineyards but I was hoping for a bit more background or local insight than we could get ourselves. I found this tour, saw the glowing reviews, and was looking forward to it as our final day of our trip to Switzerland. Marc is the real deal. His background and career is truly fascinating, his wine knowledge top notch and his charisma and energy was contagious. He was about 10 min late due to an unusual train delay and he was super communicative the whole way. He gave us precise instructions on how to meet up with him on the train, then got us safely on our return train. His background in food, travel, wine, storytelling and the UNESCO heritage of the region was put to good use answering our many questions. And he gave us wonderful insight into Swiss culture overall. Highly recommend spending an afternoon with Marc!

Great tour for views, wines and information- HIGHLY RECCOMEND!! - Wine education, Great wines Great views. It was perfect!!!
Marc was absolutely spectacular!!!! We have had private and group wine tasting tours in dozens of locations across the U.S. and Europe. But Marc’s knowledge and willingness to share, his desire to customize the tour to the groups interests and his general goal to make us have a great experience set this apart.
Lavoux is by far the most beautiful wine region I have ever been to. There is nothing quite like walking through the vineyards with the views of the lake and the mountains and of course the cascading hills of vineyards. Marc picked a great path and great vineyards to stop at for our tastes and desires.
Marc started off with great communication about how to get to his meeting location and continued to text us ideas for the coming days after the tour was over.
I can’t speak highly enough of how much my wife and I loved this tour from the views to the wine to the charcuterie to the knowledge shared. I would recommend Marc’s tour to anyone.
PS - he has a book on Swiss wines coming out this Fall- will be a great way to familiarize yourself with the area before his tour.

A Great Time! - Marc was an incredible host and we all had a BLAST. We had so much fun walking around the vineyards and learning about the wine and the history of the region. He is extremely knowledgeable about the area and most of all the Wine! I highly recommend this tour - we would definitely do it again!!

We absolutely loved our... - We absolutely loved our tour with Marc! He is incredibly knowledgeable and very passionate about what he does. He’s fantastic at telling the stories of both the history and wines of the area. Not only were the views on the tour breathtaking, but the wines Marc selected for us to try were wonderful and unlike anything else we’ve had. The ability to do a walking tour rather than being a on a bus was also such a unique aspect - getting up close to the vines made the tour so much more immersive and enjoyable. This was definitely the highlight of our trip!
As a side note, Marc was so helpful with logistics. He reached out a few weeks in advance and helped to figure out what train we should be taking. When our first train arrived late and we missed our second train, he helped with getting us to the right spot, checking in with us until we met up with the group. He went above and beyond what we would expect a typical “tour guide” to do.
Can’t recommend Marc and this tour highly enough!

Incredible experience - This was probably one of the best tours I've ever been on. It didn't hurt that the weather and scenery was perfect. What I loved most was that this wasn't simply a wine tasting, it was a wine experience. Marc is about the friendliest guy you'll ever meet. He made the tour so fun and enjoyable because of his bubbly personality. We learned so much from him about Swiss wine and the Lavaux region, but it didn't feel an educational lesson, it was like we were just friends hanging out. We didn't drink wine inside a cellar or cold tasting room, we drank on the most beautiful terraces overlooking the vineyards and Lac Lemon. I could have stayed there a week! Book this tour!!

Vine stories with Marc: outstanding - What a lovely experience! Marc met us at the tiny station in Bossiere and the fun began immediately! Marc is an exceptional guide and a true wine expert. I won’t spoil the experience other than to say the views, wines and food were brilliant.

Fun wine tour in the beautiful region! - My partner and I did Marc’s wine tour and it was amazing! We had such lovely time and got to enjoy a variety of delicious wines. The walk through the actual vineyards was stunning and informative - confirming that doing an actual tour was the right call for the area! Would highly recommend :)

Learned lots and laughed lots too!! - Marc really individualized the experience... He was truly an expert in the wine world in the area and shared his knowledge enthusiastically.. One of the best tour guides I have had in a while.. at first I thought it was a bit pricey, but it was worth every penny! Stops at 2 wineries really gave us a flavor of the locals, who were all friendly and welcoming.. Charcuterie and beautiful sunset to end the tour was fantastic...
