Valley of the Kings - Known in Egyptian Arabic as وادى الملوك (Wādī el-Mulūk) and in Coptic as ϫⲏⲙⲉ (Džēme), this historic site served as the burial ground for pharaohs and influential nobles during the New Kingdom of ancient Egypt, spanning nearly 500 years from the Eighteenth to the Twentieth Dynasty.
Colossi of Memnon - These two grand stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, known in Arabic as el-Colossat or es-Salamat, stand at the entrance of his ruined Mortuary Temple in the Theban Necropolis. Erected around 1350 BC, they were famous among ancient Greeks, Romans, and early modern explorers. The northern statue features 107 Roman-era inscriptions in Greek and Latin, mistakenly associating it with the mythological King Memnon.
Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - This mortuary temple, known in Egyptian as Ḏsr-ḏsrw (“Holy of Holies”), was constructed during the reign of Pharaoh Hatshepsut of the Eighteenth Dynasty. Located opposite Luxor, it is celebrated as a masterpiece of ancient architecture, with three grand terraces rising from the desert into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. Her tomb, KV20, is situated within the same massif, topped by El Qurn, a pyramid for her mortuary complex. A causeway connects the complex to the valley temple, located 1 km east at the desert’s edge, pointing towards the monumental Eighth Pylon across the Nile.

Temple of Medinat Habu - Situated near the Theban Hills on the West Bank of the Nile, opposite modern Luxor, Medinet Habu (Arabic: مدينة هابو) is renowned for the Mortuary Temple of Ramesses III, the largest and best-preserved site in the area.
Temple of Deir el-Medina - Known in Egyptian Arabic as دير المدينة, this ancient workmen’s village housed the artisans who crafted the tombs in the Valley of the Kings during the New Kingdom’s 18th to 20th Dynasties (ca. 1550–1080 BCE). Originally called Set maat (“Place of Truth”), the village’s temple of Hathor was later converted into a Monastery of Saint Isidorus the Martyr, giving rise to the name Deir el-Medina (“Monastery of the City”).
Valley of the Queens - This site includes the main wadi, home to most of the tombs, and several subsidiary valleys such as the Valley of Prince Ahmose, the Valley of the Rope, the Valley of the Three Pits, and the Valley of the Dolmen. The main wadi contains 91 tombs, with an additional 19 in the subsidiary valleys, all dating back to the 18th Dynasty.
