Luxor hot air balloon - Begin the day with an early morning pick-up from the cruise (around 5 to 5:30 am) for an exhilarating Hot Air Balloon ride over the River Nile and Luxor’s renowned ancient monuments on the West Bank. The flight lasts approximately 30-45 minutes, offering breathtaking views as the sun rises over the open-air museum city of Luxor.
Valley of the Kings - After breakfast, embark on a journey to the West Bank to explore the Theban Necropolis, visiting the Valley of the Kings where New Kingdom pharaohs carved their tombs into the mountains to conceal their treasures and protect their mummies.
Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Next, visit the Mortuary Temple of the famous Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari. Conclude the West Bank tour with a photo stop at the colossal statues of Memnon. Return to the cruise by noon for lunch, then begin sailing down the River Nile to cross Esna Lock. Overnight stay in Edfu.
Edfu Temple & Kom Ombo Temple
Temple of Horus - After breakfast, enjoy a horse carriage ride with a tour guide to visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu, renowned as the most complete and best-preserved Egyptian temple. Return to the cruise and relax on the deck, taking in the unique landscape and scenic views of the Nile River while sailing to Kom Ombo. Lunch is served on board, followed by afternoon tea on the sundeck.
Temple of Kom Ombo - In the late afternoon, stop at Kom Ombo city to visit the distinctive double temple dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god. Return to the cruise for dinner, followed by a folkloric party hosted by the cruise staff and tour guides. Continue sailing to Aswan for an overnight stay.
Abu Simbel Temples from Aswan
Abu Simbel Temple Complex - At approximately 4:30 am, the guide will pick up guests for a shared group trip to Abu Simbel, one of Egypt’s most remarkable sites. The rock-cut temples of Abu Simbel, with their unique design, were built for King Ramesses II and his beloved Queen Nefertari. Return to the cruise by noon for lunch. The afternoon is free, with an optional visit to the Nubian village. Dinner on board is followed by a Nubian show. Overnight stay in Aswan.
Aswan Tour (Philae Temple, High Dam) & Departure Transfer
Aswan High Dam - After breakfast, check out and explore Aswan’s highlights with a guide, learning about the Nubian migration. Begin the tour with a visit to the High Dam, completed in 1960 to protect Egypt from flooding and generate electricity.
