Luxor 1 day with Khaled Elsmaky - 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An unforgettable day in Luxor with Khaled! We had an amazing full-day tour of Luxor with our guide Khaled, and we couldn’t be happier. From the moment he picked us up, his warmth and kindness made us feel immediately at ease. Khaled’s knowledge of Egyptian history is truly impressive — he brought every site to life with fascinating stories and details that you would never find in a guidebook. The Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Karnak, the Colossi of Memnon — each stop was explained with passion and depth, making the whole experience incredibly enriching. What made the day even more special was Khaled’s personality. He was funny, witty, and genuinely caring — always making sure we were comfortable, hydrated, and happy. His courtesy never wavered throughout the entire day. If you are visiting Luxor, stop searching and book with Khaled. He is not just a guide — he is the reason this day became one of the highlights of our entire trip to Egypt. Highly recommended! 🙏

Knowledgeable and friendly local Luxor guide - Hassan Maghribi was my local Luxor guide. Picked up promptly at 7am from my hotel. Hassan set the tone early at Luxor Temple — he explains things clearly, laces facts with stories, and keeps the tour interactive by asking questions rather than just lecturing. Impressive given he’s only been guiding in English for a year. At Karnak and Hatshepsut Temples he gave a solid introduction then let me roam freely. Valley of the Kings he’d pre-selected three vividly coloured tombs — a thoughtful call that made the hieroglyphics really land. Quick stop at the Colossi of Memnon, then lunch to finish. He’s also practically useful — stepped in when the vendors got pushy and helped with haggling. Day wrapped around 3:30pm, well-paced throughout. Knowledgeable, relaxed, and clearly passionate about what he does. Well worth booking.

Lovely day tour full of history - Khaled is a very good guide, very knowledgeable about Egyptian history and very helpful, looking after us the all time. It was extremely interesting and we loved learning and seeing history. The driver Mohamed really polite and really safe driver, always ready with a cool car for us after being in the sun. For us the best part was the Valley of the Artists/Workers. Then we finished off at a local restaurant with authentic and delicious egyptian food.

Fantastic Trip to Dendera - We took a private tour with Nelly to Dendera temple, north of Luxor. She was a fantastic guide- friendly, highly knowledgeable and passionate about Egyptology. This ended up being our favourite temple, and we think we were very lucky to have such an excellent guide take us round! The temple itself is beautiful, and remarkably preserved, the ceilings in particular. We also did the catacombs which were excellent. I would say this is absolutely worth taking the tour from Luxor, and I'd 100% recommend booking with Nelly, if you want an amazing guide!

Amazing day! - Fantastic tour! Covered the valley of Kings, Hatchepsut's Temple, Karnak temple and Luxor temple and paid extra to go on a boat trip over the Nile. The order was different than advertised but that was good as we went to Karnak before it got too busy! Our guide Mansor was brilliant and gave lots of information at each spot. The pick up/drop off was easy, car was clean and driver was great.

Great Guide, Knowledgeable, and Supportive Throughout Our Luxor Trip - We had an excellent experience on our trip to the Valley of the Kings and Queen Hatshepsut in Luxor, thanks to our fantastic guide, Roshdy Roshdy was very knowledgeable and explained in English explaining the history in a very engaging way. What truly stood out was his kindness and attentiveness. He assisted to arrange a wheelchair for us and personally assisted throughout the trip, ensuring everything was smooth and comfortable. He was extremely friendly, professional, and well-spoken, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. We felt well taken care of from start to finish. Highly recommend Roshdy to anyone visiting Luxor for a day or even more.

Great tour, sadly not the best guide. - There was nothing wrong with the sites we visited. It was amazing and beautiful. Our issue was with communication. The guide Mumu (mustafa I think) arrived 45 minutes late in the morning. He wrote to me at 6:30am asking if I was ready while the pickup was supposed to be at 7. He asked for my location and kept saying he was on his way. He arrived at 7:45. We felt bad because we had to ask our hotel staff to have an early breakfast at our hotel. His english was very hard to understand and when we asked him questions we never really got a clear answer to. We had to ask for our bottle of water and to go to the Valley of the Queen. He said he didn’t have our tickets and it wasn’t part of our tour, but we took this tour especially to do both Valleys. He called the company and we drove back to the west bank. From that moment, he looked annoyed and tired and wasn’t giving us a lot of explanations. We followed another tour guide in Karnak and Luxor temple and they both caught our attention and had great stories to tell. I wish our guide could have been like them.
