- Temple of Karnak - At approximately 5:00 a.m., your tour guide will pick you up in a comfortable, air-conditioned minibus. A knowledgeable German-speaking Egyptologist will join the group. The journey to Luxor takes about 4 hours, passing through the Nile valley with views of fields and farmers’ homes. This excursion is conducted in a small group, with a maximum of 8 participants. Your guide will be available throughout the trip to answer any questions. Upon arrival in Luxor, our first stop will be the Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex in Egypt, located on the eastern bank of the Nile. One of the most significant areas of the temple is the large columned hall. The complex is divided into three walled sections: the Amun area (ancient Egyptian Ipet-sut, “place of election”), the Month area, and the Courage area. The oldest visible remains of the temple date back to the 12th dynasty under Sesostris. The temple complex was expanded and rebuilt multiple times until the Roman Empire. Notable among the ruins are the temples of Amun-Re with its ten pylons. You will also see the sacred lake, measuring 120 × 77 meters, located south of the central temple building and fed by groundwater. Admire the large columned hall, statues, pylons, and obelisks.
- Valley of the Kings - After lunch, we will drive to the Valley of the Kings, situated about 5 kilometers northwest of Luxor. In ancient Egypt, the Valley of the Kings was known as the “Sechet-aat large field.” The valley contains over 70 tombs carved into the rock, primarily the tombs of rulers from the New Kingdom (circa 1550 to 1069 BC) of the 18th to 20th dynasties. To protect the mummies, they were relocated in the 22nd dynasty and hidden in other tombs. In 1922, the largely intact tomb of Tutankhamun was discovered. Systematic exploration and excavation of the tombs began with Napoleon’s expedition to Egypt. The Valley of the Kings is a major tourist attraction in Egypt. Only a portion of the tombs is open to visitors, as some are closed for conservation. Since December 2009, photography and filming have been prohibited, but since 2018, photography without flash is allowed with the purchase of a photo permit for around 15 euros.
- Colossi of Memnon - After visiting the Karnak temple complex, we will proceed to the famous Colossi of Memnon. Known in Arabic as “el-Colossat or es-Salomat,” these two adjacent statues date back to the 14th century and depict King Amenophis III seated on a throne, facing the Nile. The statues stand approximately 18 meters high, including the base.
- Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Our final stop will be the terrace temple complex of Hatshepsut. Hatshepsut, an ancient Egyptian queen of the 18th dynasty, reigned from 1479 to 1458 BC. Her spouse was Thutmoses II. The name Hatshepsut means “The first of the noble women who embraced Amun.” The entire temple is constructed of limestone and is the best-preserved temple on the west bank in Thebes. At around 4:00 p.m., we will begin our return journey, bringing you back to your hotel with wonderful and memorable experiences.

A great experience. We can recommend this trip without restriction. - It was a great experience. We were picked up at 4.30am and taken safely and quickly to Luxor by our nice driver in the air-conditioned car. With a break for a toilet visit and cold drinks in the car, nothing was missing. Our guide Osama Melad was great. He joined us in Luxor, spoke perfect German and was able to tell and explain a lot to us at all points of the program. A true Egyptologist. Thanks to the early arrival, we were able to enjoy the temple complexes, the Valley of the Kings and the Nile ride with him in peace before the great crowd. Being early is worth it. Thank you for that.

Interesting and entertaining temple tour to Luxor. - Very cool tour with extremely much background information about the ancient Egyptians, the pharaohs, the characters, the temples, the construction, the symbols, the murals, the special colors and the many small details that you do not get to see otherwise. Our tour guide Nasch Obaid Saad has an incredibly large knowledge as a trained Egyptologist. With him it was not simply a tour of the temples, but a journey to the ancient pharaohs, their lives and their effect on the world. It is very interesting how extensive the ancient Egyptian terms, symbols and their meanings have survived into our modern European languages and religions. Nasch is a very friendly, polite and pleasant person, so you always feel as a guest and not as a customer.
The tour scope was very well adapted to our needs. A refreshing boat trip on the Nile in the best weather with interesting details about Egypt today was the perfect transition to a delicious Egyptian lunch, which is amazingly close to current European food. The tour was very well organized by Zakharioustours, we were picked up on time at the hotel, the 4 hour drive over the mountains was very relaxed, in the air-conditioned bus. There was a 10 minute break, there were drinks on the bus, the drivers were very nice and pleasant and spoke German. After each stop, the bus was ready again right at the entrance and we were perfectly delivered to the hotel in the evening. Top.

Individual day trip to the Valley of the Kings - Today we made a very interesting and entertaining tour from Hurghada to Luxor.
The hotel pickup early in the morning and all the rest of the organization was very good, we didn't have to wait at sights.
Our guide -Nasch- has responded to our individual wishes and has himself set priorities that we liked very much.
The drivers drove safely, there were even two, so they could take turns.
Thank you very much for the great trip, which we will remember very vividly.

Culture, history and enjoyment - a perfect holiday day - Great excursion in a small private group with a great German speaking Egyptologist as a guide. The tour would be individually adapted to our needs. We felt completely well looked after - also by the two drivers. A day that will be remembered.

If a trip in Egypt, it is definitely with Zakharious Tours! - I booked a trip to Cairo with Zakharious Tours 2 years ago.
Already then it was clear to me: If I make another trip to Egypt, it will be with this Enterprise again.
We had a trip for two today. Booked to Luxor. In advance everything cleared via WhatsApp, super uncomplicated.
It was really like in the description:
All inclusive except 2 special burial chambers and drinks in the restaurant.
We were picked up on time by our driver Carlos. The ride with him was very pleasant. The car had cold drinks of Coke, Fanta, Sprite, water all day long... In Luxor, the guide Osama Melad climbed up to take us directly to Karnak Temple. From there we went to the Valley of the Kings, where we were given the choice of which chambers to visit. Of course, there was an explanation for everything that is better or "worse" where (colors more intense and beautiful, construction etc.) and we also visited a huge temple that is still very well preserved. Osama has really told a lot of interesting things, also repeatedly asked if there are any questions. But when someone explains in such a comprehensible and detailed way, of course, no questions remain unanswered.
Then we went on a boat tour on the Nile. A very large covered motorboat, just for us two. There my partner was even allowed to steer the boat himself, we should also make music selections. Then we went to the roof of the boat, where very beautiful pictures were taken. From the boat we went to a nearby restaurant, there we had the opportunity to decide beforehand between buffet or the main course itself. Main course of fish, chicken or meatball, plus rice or fries. Osama then pre-ordered our food at the restaurant. Here I can only recommend the meatballs, very delicious meat with rice. Starter was a rice noodle soup (orzo, Kritharak) main course as described plus tajine (vegetables with potatoes in a red sauce) there would have been a dessert too, but we were so full, there was nothing left. There our trip ended and we drove back to our hotel with Carlos. On the way back there was even an ice cream and on top :)
Really highly recommended, we would do it again!

An unforgettable tour - We had a great day with our driver and our guide Naschaat! They took great care to ensure that we had a good time together. Nasch explained and showed us everything with a lot of knowledge, humor and passion. Through his knowledge and personal experiences we were able to immerse ourselves in the world of Ancient Egypt. Nasch adapted the program to our wishes and ideas and made us feel in good hands all around.
A super nice and fun guide that we can absolutely recommend. Thank you for this unforgettable experience! We hope to see you again soon! ☀️🌴

Dreamlike Luxor trip - A day of Luxor, just worth seeing. We were picked up early as agreed by car at the hotel and went straight to Luxor. There we invited our very well prepared guide and went to Karnak Temple. Since we were with the first visitors, there was time for great photos and great explanations. The guide adjusted to our pace throughout the day (no running behind a flag). Then we went to the Valley of the Kings, the Amon Temple and the Memnon Colossi. Of course, there was also a tasty lunch. Finally, we did another 1 hour Nile ride.
Then we went back to the hotel by car.
Driver and guide were great and prepared for everything.
We can only recommend the private tour and say THANK YOU

Super trip - We booked a private trip to Luxor. After gaining good experience with our driver Carlos from the trip to Cairo, we wanted to start this trip with Carlos again. We asked via WhatsApp and our wish was gladly fulfilled. Carlos arrived at the hotel on time and there was free water and soft drinks throughout the entire trip. Arriving in Luxor, our German-speaking tour guide Nasch was already waiting. Nasch gave us the knowledge in a humorous way. It didn't get boring and was very interesting. Nasch takes beautiful pictures of us and organized a private boat tour on the Nile. We will not forget the day and can really recommend it.
