• Valley of the Kings - Begin your journey with a 6:00 am pickup from your hotel in a private, air-conditioned taxi, arriving in Luxor around 9:30 am. Cross the Nile to explore some of the most stunning highlights of Luxor’s renowned West Bank with your private tour guide. Your first stop is the Valley of the Kings, where you’ll visit three tombs. If you wish to see the tomb of the young Pharaoh Tutankhamun, it will cost an additional 200 Egyptian Pounds.
• Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - The Temple of Hatshepsut is one of the most beautiful and well-preserved temples of Ancient Egypt in Luxor. Built on three levels with two wide ramps connecting the levels, the temple rises from the desert plain in a series of terraces. It merges seamlessly with the sheer limestone cliffs of the eastern face of the Theban Mountain, as if nature itself constructed this extraordinary monument.
• Colossi of Memnon - The Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues of King Amenhotep III, the only remnants of a once complete mortuary temple. Made from blocks of quartzite sandstone transported 700 km from Cairo to Luxor, these statues stand about 18 meters high. They are the remains of what was once the largest complex on the West Bank, built by Amenhotep III. Around noon, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Luxor before visiting the Temple of Karnak, the largest ancient religious site known in the world.
• Temple of Karnak - Your visit to the Temple of Karnak, the largest ancient religious site known globally, will be followed by an optional late afternoon tour in a traditional felucca. This is the perfect way to relax while observing traditional rural life along the riverbank. If you finish early, you may have time for some souvenir shopping in Luxor’s vast souq or take a leisurely stroll around central Luxor. At 5:30 pm, your private car will pick you up to return to Marsa Alam, arriving back at your hotel by 9:00 pm. If you wish to make any changes to the itinerary, such as visiting Luxor Temple instead of Karnak or spending more time in the souq, we will be happy to accommodate your preferences where possible.
