Begin the day with a visit to the Valley of the Kings, renowned for its magnificent burial architecture. Many kings are interred in this valley, and visitors will explore three tombs.
- Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Continue to the Queen Hatshepsut temple, where guests can discover her stunning temple and intriguing story with her nephew. The temple rises from the desert plain in a series of terraces, blending seamlessly with the limestone cliffs of the Theban Mountain, as if nature itself crafted this extraordinary monument. Afterwards, proceed to the Colossi of Memnon.
- Colossi of Memnon - Enjoy a photo opportunity at the Colossi of Memnon, two impressive twin statues representing Pharaoh Amenhotep III, with two smaller figures at their feet (one of his wife and the other his mother). These statues stand majestically on the Luxor horizon, each measuring 60 feet tall, at the entrance of Amenhotep III’s mortuary temple. They are famously named the Colossi of Memnon due to a sound phenomenon caused by one statue after an earthquake. Originally constructed in the Theban Necropolis west of the Nile River in modern Luxor, guests will then return to their hotel in Luxor.
- Valley of the Artisans (Deir el-Medina) - Guests will admire the most exquisite tombs of artists.
- Mortuary Temple of Ramses III - The Habu Temple belongs to Ramses III, the last powerful king in ancient Egyptian history.
- Valley of the Queens - The Valley of the Queens is the burial site for the wives and children of pharaohs during the New Kingdom (around 1550–1070 BC). The most renowned tomb here is that of Queen Nefertari, the cherished wife of Ramses II, considered one of Egypt’s most beautiful tombs. The valley contains about 90 tombs, adorned with vibrant scenes depicting the queens’ journey to the afterlife.
