Arrival in Luxor: Explore Karnak and Luxor Temples, and Check-In to Your VIP Nile Cruise

Luxor - Upon arrival at Luxor Airport or Luxor Railway Station, guests will be warmly welcomed by our representative. Transfer from the airport, railway station, or hotel in Luxor to the Nile Cruise boat. Embarkation will take place before lunch.
13:00 - Enjoy lunch on board.

Temple of Karnak - In the afternoon, visit the East Bank of the Nile, including the Temple of Karnak and the Temple of Luxor. Dinner will be served on board the cruise, with an overnight stay in Luxor.

Luxor Temple - The Luxor Temple is a grand ancient Egyptian temple complex situated on the east bank of the Nile River in what is now Luxor, built around 1400 BCE. In the Egyptian language, it was called ipet resyt, meaning “the southern sanctuary.”

Luxor Sound and Light Show - Optional Activities: Guests have the opportunity to enjoy an optional excursion to the Sound & Light Show at Karnak Temple or a city tour in Luxor by horse carriage.

Optional Tour: Sunrise Hot Air Balloon, Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Colossi of Memnon

Luxor Hot Air Balloon - After breakfast on board, guests can opt for a tour to witness the sunrise from a hot air balloon. This includes visits to the West Bank of Luxor, the Valley of the Kings, the Alabaster Stone factory, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El-Bahari, and the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the Nile Cruise boat, sail to Esna Lock, cross Esna Lock, and continue to Edfu. Overnight stay on board with entertainment at the Lounge Bar.

Valley of the Kings - The rulers of Egypt’s prosperous New Kingdom (c.1550–1069 BC) from the Eighteenth, Nineteenth, and Twentieth Dynasties were interred in a barren river valley across from ancient Thebes (modern Luxor), known today as the Valley of the Kings.

Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Queen Hatshepsut (c.1473–1458 BC), who became pharaoh, constructed a splendid temple at Deir al-Bahari on Luxor’s west bank, directly across the Nile from Karnak Temple, the main sanctuary of the god Amun. Hatshepsut’s temple, Djeser-djeseru, “the Holy of Holies,” was designed by Senenmut, the chief steward of Amun.

Colossi of Memnon - The Colossi of Memnon are two enormous statues of Amenophis III that stood over his funerary temple on Luxor’s west bank. These statues, crafted 3,400 years ago, depict the pharaoh seated, hands on knees, gazing at the rising sun, with his mother, Queen Mutemwiya, and wife, Queen Tiy, sculpted on the lower part.

Visit Edfu Temple and Kom Ombo

Temple of Horus - Enjoy breakfast on board the cruise, then visit the Horus Temple in Edfu, dedicated to the God Horus, via horse carriage. Sail to Kom-Ombo.

Temple of Kom Ombo - Upon arrival in Kom-Ombo, visit the Temple of Kom-Ombo, dedicated to the Gods Sobek and Haroeris. Sail to Aswan, with an overnight stay on board the cruise. Enjoy an entertainment show at the Lounge Bar.

Aswan Sightseeing: Philae Temple, Unfinished Obelisk, and High Dam

Temple of Philae - After breakfast, disembark from the cruise and visit the Temple of Philae.

Unfinished Obelisk - The unfinished obelisk, the largest known ancient obelisk, is located in the northern region of the ancient Egyptian stone quarries in Aswan.

Aswan High Dam - Visit the Aswan High Dam.

Departure Day and Optional Tour to Abu Simbel

Abu Simbel Temple Complex - Early morning, guests have the option to take an excursion to Abu Simbel (a breakfast box will be provided if this option is chosen). In the afternoon, there is an opportunity for an optional excursion to a Nubian Village.
