• Abydos - Begin your tour with a pickup from your hotel in Luxor by a tour guide to explore Abydos (hieroglyphic: “Ab-b-djo”), a city in western Balina, Sohag. This ancient city in Upper Egypt is believed by most archaeologists to have been Egypt’s first capital at the end of the pre-dynastic era and during the first four dynasties, dating back 5,000 years. Situated between Assiut and Luxor near Qena, it was known as a sacred city called Tennis by the Greeks. Today, it is referred to as Al-Araba Al-Madfuna (Al-Balina), located approximately 11 kilometers from the Nile. The city features the Temple of Seti the First and the Temple of Ramses II, renowned for their bas-relief ancient Egyptian inscriptions. Abydos was the primary center for the worship of the god Osiris.

• Dendera Temple Complex - The Dendera Temple Complex (Ancient Egyptian: Iunet or Tantere; historically spelled Tentyra and also known as Denderah) is situated about 2.5 kilometers (1.6 miles) southeast of Dendera, Egypt. It is one of Egypt’s best-preserved temple complexes. The area served as the sixth nome of Upper Egypt, located south of Abydos. The entire complex spans approximately 40,000 square meters and is enclosed by a substantial mudbrick wall. Dendera was inhabited in prehistoric times, serving as a vital oasis along the Nile. Pharaoh Pepi I (circa 2250 BC) is believed to have built on this site, with evidence of a temple from the Eighteenth Dynasty (circa 1500 BC). The earliest surviving structure in the compound today is the mammisi erected by Nectanebo II, the last of the native pharaohs (360–343 BC). After completing your tour, you will be taken back to your hotel.
