The journey begins on Fourvière hill, where the city exudes tranquility and openness. The Basilica of Notre-Dame of Fourvière stands majestically, still serving as a venue for locals to celebrate significant life events. Nearby, ancient theatres evoke Lugdunum, a prominent Roman city, where citizens once gathered for orations and performances.
Descending to Vieux Lyon, the tour pauses at Cathédrale Saint-Jean-Baptiste, where history seamlessly converges. In the narrow streets and concealed traboules, stories of silk workers and merchants who influenced daily life are shared.
The tour concludes on the Presqu’île at Place des Terreaux, featuring the Bartholdi Fountain—a vibrant square that showcases Lyon’s essence and daily life rhythm.
