Initially, participants will mix and knead the dough, prepare the filling, and season it with local spices. Following this, they will shape and seal the Madfouna, place it on the heated base, and cover it with a black metal baking lid.
Once covered, wood and embers are piled on top to create a natural oven effect.
While it bakes, participants can enjoy a glass of tea, relax, take photos, and listen to stories about life in the Sahara.
When ready, the Madfouna will be uncovered and tasted, served warm with tea and simple sides. A vegetarian option is available upon request.
