• Faiyum Governorate - The Jebel Qatrani Open Air Museum is situated within the Petrified Forest area, north of Lake Qaroun. This Open Air Museum, which has been open since 2018, remains a hidden gem. The museum features fossils and petrified wood set in a beautiful desert landscape, offering a perfect escape from the daily routine.

After visiting Gebel Quatrani, the tour continues to the Pharaonic Site of Qasr el Sagha and the Roman Ruins of Dimeh, before heading back to Cairo. Approximately 8km south of Qasr el-Sagha, towards Birket Qarun, lies the site of the Graeco-Roman town of Soknopaiou Nesos. Now known as Dimai, or Dimeh el-Siba (Dimeh of the Lions), the town is believed to have been established during the Ptolemaic Period, although it appears to have been built on an earlier Neolithic settlement.
