Fantastic wine tasting with unique views - After a great boat tour at VicExperience yesterday and getting to know Victor, we decided to do a wine tasting as well. My girlfriend had never experienced this before and I saw that this was also offered by Victor. Although no tasting was actually planned that day, Victor thought along with us.
We were picked up at our apartment and received at his home, where we also got to know his wife. Together they provided a delicious dinner, combined with an extensive wine tasting. Victor took all the time and was very welcoming showed real interest in getting to know me and my girlfriend.
In short, this was much more than a standard excursion, it was a complete experience. We are sure that we will come back to Ohrid and stay longer, precisely to relive these unique moments.

An unforgettable experience at Vik’s Experience in Ohrid! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Early September (2025) we did an excursion with 6 other people at Vik’s Experience in Ohrid, and this was without doubt one of the most beautiful moments of our holiday. Vik picked us up at our hotel (and of course also brought us home). At Vik's house we were warmly welcomed for an extensive wine tasting combined with a delicious barbecue.
We tasted six different wines and two spirits, all chosen with care and passion by Vik. His stories and explanations made it extra interesting. Vik was originally Macedonian but born in the Netherlands and moved to Macedonia 7 years ago. Super nice to talk to him about the differences between the 2 countries and share personal stories.
The barbecue was plentiful and delicious: juicy meat, fresh salads and all kinds of delicacies prepared with great love by him and his lovely wife. They not only cooked fantastic, but also sat down to chat and laugh together, which gave the evening a very homely and warm Mood.
It was extra fun because we shared the experience with three Dutch couples and a British couple, there was plenty of talk and laughter as if we had known each other for years.
Afterwards we bought some local products at Vik, so we can still enjoy this special experience at home.
In short: an absolute must for anyone visiting Ohrid. Beautiful wines, great food and especially the sincere Welcoming of Vik and his wife make this a unique experience that you do not want to miss.

top night - We had a great night at Victor and his wife. Very informal with fine wines and food. Victor knows a lot to tell and they are very welcoming we were neatly picked up and brought back to the hotel.

BBQ and Wine tasting. - We had a DELICIOUS BBQ at Vik with GOOD wines. A COZY interlocutor with a BEAUTIFUL view over the lake .JUST DO..highly recommended!!!

Viks Winetasting Evening - Great evening with enjoyable food, wine and conversation with other holidaymakers. The dishes was prepared and cooked throughout the evening, using fresh produce which was absolutely delicious, all washed down with locally produced wine. At the end of the evening we had an opportunity to purchase with no obligation some of the produce we had tasted during the evening.

An amazing night out. - A fantastic night out with welcoming and hospitable hosts. Viks home is in a beautiful setting with breathtaking views of the lake. We were given 5 beautiful local wines and amazing food home made and/or cooked in a barbecue. Myself and my partner and the other 11 guests absolutely enjoyed the evening. Vik is passionate about his job and offers the best trips and experiences in Macedonia. Vik is one of the only tour operators that provides trips and experiences for British tourists as most of the other tour operators purely cater for Dutch tourists. 100% book with this guy.
