• Machico - The tour begins at Machico, the birthplace of Madeira. The group will pass through the city and pause at a scenic high viewpoint to enjoy a panoramic view of the entire city.
• Miradouro do Guindaste - The next stop is to admire the breathtaking glass walk platform and take in the views of the northeast coast.
• Aguage Waterfall - This hidden gem of a waterfall is accessible via an off-road track.
• Santana - A visit to a local coffee shop is planned here.
• Santana - The tour will also explore the town center to see the traditional Santana houses.
• Quinta Do Barbusano - After a morning of exploring the north coast, the tour arrives at Quinta do Barbusano, a beautiful vineyard nestled in the mountains of Sao Vicente. Participants will enjoy a guided tour of the vineyards, learning about the unique aspects of winemaking in Madeira. This is followed by a tasting of six wines and a traditional Madeira meal called “spetada,” which is a beef skewer cooked with laurel tree sticks, served with local flatbread “caco cake,” local potatoes, and fresh salad. Dessert includes a homemade passion fruit pudding paired with a fortified Madeira wine, followed by coffee.

Please note that lunch, which includes the wine tasting, guided vineyard tour, traditional “spetada” meal, homemade passion fruit pudding, and coffee, is an additional cost of €60 per person, payable at Quinta do Barbusano (card payments accepted).
