Perfect day - I had a perfect day climbing mount Pico with Raissa as our guide. She was very motivating, kept our spirits up and I learned from her technique, making the climb much easier. I also got great tips for getting to casa montinho from Joana and the pictures from the day were great. I would definitely recommend GoClimb for hiking mount Pico!

Milky Way - Starry skies, shooting stars, sunrise on Picomountain. What more could you want. However, good footwear and a little fitness are a prerequisite.

Highlight on the island of Pico - Well organized tour with very friendly guide! Pleasant pace with enough breaks for ascent (yet exhausting). If lucky with the weather, dreamlike night and sunrise on the top of the volcano. Absolute recommendation:)

Wonderful experience - Isabella was a very good guide. Before the start, there was a brief briefing, the SOS transmitters, headlamps and walking sticks were distributed. At a very pleasant pace we climb through the starry night, every 20 minutes it has a small break, in which we could drink, eat and admire the starry sea. Fascinating was the narrow crescent of the upcoming new moon. The short scrambling from the crater to the summit was also well feasible for the somewhat inexperienced participants. We reached the summit in time. We looked for good places and had plenty of time to watch the rising sun and the play of colors that came with it. We had a 360 degree view. The ubiquitous warm steam was impressive. Also in the Abstig Isabella was very careful, so it was a wonderful experience for everyone. I would recommend the tour again and again at this time as later the clouds obscure the view

Beautiful, breathtaking, above the clouds hike! - This was my favorite hike I have ever done. It is very challenging (I am a triathlete and my boyfriend is a personal trainer) and we found this hike very hard. We are very glad we did this with a guide (Pedro was awesome) and were helped with the proper equipment such as hiking shoes and head flashlights. This hike is challenging yet incredibly beautiful. You get to hike up in the dark which is honestly so cool because of the stars all around you and go with a group of thrill seekers from all over the world. Then you get to climb your way up to the top of mount pico (which is so fun especially if you like rock climbing). The top is beautiful! You are literally above the clouds. Watching a rainbow horizon of the sunrise with other travelers all around you. The descent is difficult but gorgeous to see the views you missed on the way up. I loved this hike for it was not too hot as it may have been during the day. However, I have some advice. I do wish we did not have to wait for almost 2 hours on top of mount Pico for the sun to rise. Be prepared that you should pack layers because the top even in July is freezing. I wore two thermal long sleeves and a sweatshirt and wish I had packed more (especially gloves and a hat). Beyond that, this hike is beautiful and if you are a thrill seeker a hiker or someone looking to see the most beautiful nature, I would completely recommend.

A must for athletes - What a hike! At night it's a really nice experience (especially when you see the world then going up by day while we were alone in the world by night). I highly recommend being accompanied and equipped with clubs because even as a sportswoman I had difficulties on the descent, I would never have managed it alone. Thank you Pedro!

Raisa is amazing! - I was a bit scared for the climb at first, but Raisa was there for me and the sunrise climb was amazing! Without a good guide, like Raisa, I am not sure if I would have done this climb. She is very kind, smart and funny & she will teach you a lot during the climb!
