Parque Nacional del Manu - The guide collected the group from the hotel around 5:30 a.m. Everyone boarded a comfortable minivan and embarked on the journey to the jungle. The first stop was at the chullpas of Ninamarca, ancient pre-Inca burial towers that offered a fascinating glimpse into history.
The journey continued to the picturesque town of Paucartambo, where a delightful local breakfast and the town’s charming atmosphere were enjoyed. From there, the group reached Acjanaco, the highest point on the route and the entrance to the Manu Biosphere Reserve.
As the descent into the cloud forest began, the landscape transformed into a lush, green paradise teeming with life. Several stops were made to observe birds, monkeys, and other wildlife, enhancing the experience. A highlight was spotting the Cock-of-the-rock, Peru’s national bird—truly a sight to behold!
The group arrived in Pillcopata in the afternoon, where they had dinner and stayed overnight in a comfortable lodge equipped with a private bathroom and mosquito nets. It was a perfect conclusion to an amazing first day.
Machuwasi Lake
Parque Nacional del Manu - Day 2 was a thrilling blend of adventure and wildlife. The day began early at the eco-lodge with a hearty breakfast, followed by a visit to a birdwatching spot—Manu is truly remarkable, with numerous species like hummingbirds and monkeys.
Afterwards, the group proceeded to Atalaya port, where they received boots and life jackets before boarding a traditional boat. Sailing along the Madre de Dios River was a beautiful experience, surrounded by the pristine Amazon environment. The group then arrived at another eco-lodge to relax and enjoy lunch.
In the afternoon, the group headed to Machuwasi Lake. After a brief boat ride and walk, they reached this tranquil location and went canoeing. It was a wonderful experience—birds, capybaras, and other wildlife were seen up close. A climb up a watchtower provided stunning views of the jungle.
At night, a jungle walk revealed caimans and nocturnal animals—an unforgettable experience. The day concluded with a delicious dinner and a well-deserved rest at the eco-lodge.
Parrots Clay Lick
Parque Nacional del Manu - Day 3 began very early with one of the most vibrant experiences in the Amazon. Around 5:00 a.m., the guide led the group to the parrot clay lick. After a 40-minute boat ride, they watched parrots and parakeets gather—an unforgettable natural spectacle, with the chance to see macaws as well.
Back at the eco-lodge, a delicious breakfast was enjoyed before embarking on a guided jungle walk. The group explored the forest, admired the impressive giant ceiba tree, learned about medicinal plants, and spotted wildlife along the way.
After returning to the lodge for a tasty lunch, there was time to relax before the afternoon adventure. A refreshing swim in the river and a beautiful sunset in the heart of the jungle were highlights.
In the evening, the group returned to the eco-lodge for dinner and, if energy allowed, joined a night walk. It was the perfect way to end the last night surrounded by nature.
Manu National Park - Cusco
Cusco - Awaken in the Amazon and rest in the imperial city of Cusco. The day begins with the sounds of the jungle: birds, leaves, and the vibrant nature welcome everyone to the last morning in the Amazon. A final breakfast at the eco-lodge is enjoyed before packing for the return to the imperial city of Cusco.
The team will accompany the group along the return route. A boat ride along the Amazon River offers a final farewell to the jungle landscapes, leaving hearts full of unforgettable memories, until reaching the Atalaya pier. There, private transport and a professional driver will be ready to safely return everyone to Cusco.
On the way, a stop at Acjanaco allows for lunch before continuing the journey to the capital of the Inca Empire. Arrival in Cusco is expected around 6:00 pm, where the driver will take everyone directly to their hotel or the airport, as planned.

It also holds the world record for diversity of amphibian (155) and reptile (132) species for a protected area.
