Madrid, in an efficient way - This tour was definitely worth it, given our short time in this beautiful city. Irene was an excellent guide, especially her history is Spain in 5 minutes. Word of caution - be on time! We were a little liberal with our time, waiting for Starbucks and we almost got left behind.

Worth every step. - Our guide Alfonso was incredibly knowledgeable and excited about all the art and history and that excitement was infectious. We learnt and appreciated the museum so much more because of him. It was a long time to be on your feet but worth every moment

Great tour with Maria! - Maria was an absolute wonderful guide! She very clearly loves what she does, and made a great tour for us. She first took us through the Prada museum, where she took us to the highlights and explained in depth the techniques and meanings of the pieces we stopped at. We then walked through the plazas and streets on our way to the Royal Palace. On the way she gave suggestions on where to eat, gave insights on the shops, and of course talked about the gates, plazas, statues and landmarks as we passed by. Lastly, Maria took us through the royal palace pointing out the details of the artworks, what the rooms were used for, the types of events that still happen there, and so on. We really enjoyed the tour, and our time with Maria! I would recommend this tour if you want to skip the lines, and see the quick highlights of these popular locations while also getting a great overview from an expert guide.

Great Tour guide but poor Viator support. - The actual tour operator, the company and guide were excellent. The tour would have been higher rated if the instructions provided by Viator were accurate. I purchased the tour and thought from the wording provided in Viator’s instructions when I did so that once the payment was made I’d be able to access the actual tickets. Unfortunately I was only able to access a voucher for the tickets with instructions on how and where to redeem the tickets and instructions for the meeting point location. According to Viator the two locations were separate and the links to the locations were also in separate locations although close by. We left early to redeem the tickets using the voucher and opening the link in google maps. There were several options for apps in which to open the link directions. The link to the location to redeem the voucher identified a location about 100 yards away from the meeting point. When we arrived at the location to redeem the voucher there was nothing there. It was outside a building on the sidewalk. I searched for someone who might redeem the voucher but found no one. I left up the meeting point because I was afraid of missing the your. After walking up to the entrance of the venue, the Prado Museum, finding no one who knew about redeeming my voucher. I decided to wait at the meeting point. I had 7 other family members with me by now. I’d left early to redeem the voucher to avoid having everyone following me around to redeem the voucher. Finally a tour operator employee showed up at the meeting point. I explained what I’d done and she informed me that there must be an error in the instructions. She told me the tour guide would be arriving soon and that she would redeem the voucher. That is how it worked with her company the actual tour operator. Frankly there was a lot of unneeded stress scrambling around a non existent voucher redemption location to exchange the voucher for actual tickets when the your operator did this snd evidently had been doing this for all the hours I was on. Once the guide arrived it all settled down. We had a great tour. Final note - a few days before I sent a message to Viator after receiving my tour confirmation. Using the App requesting why I received a voucher instead of tickets as the site indicated I would when I paid for the tickets. I never received a response. Very poor management of my tour and needless stress. I’d recommend this to a friend but only with the caveat that they would need to make sure of the instructions and that once you purchase you will be hard pressed to receive timely support from Viator. There is/was no phone support option only a chat option which is really only a one way message sent to Viator not a chat.
