Eat, Drink, Learn, and Have Lots of Fun! - Awesome experience, great paella, and the very best hosts! Cristal and Chef Iván made the evening memorable! Learned some very helpful tips to improve my next homemade paella and sangria and had lots of fun meeting new friends from all over the world. I loved that everyone gets involved with making the paella and sangria! Wall flowers cannot hide! Be prepared to indulge, learn, and have lots of fun! A definite "must do" if you are passing through Madrid!

Paella party! - Ivan and Sylvana were excellent guides on our paella journey. We really had a fun time learning about cooking paella and also making a really good sangria. It was a boisterous, fun activity. The space was lovely and we had a great time getting to know our fellow chefs. Two thumbs up, would recommend.

Incredible experience! - Could tell that the guides genuinely cared about what they were teaching, made the experience so much more authentic, the three hours flew by because of how interactive every step really was, even got to make the sangria!

Amazing experience! - This was the absolute best cooking class I’ve ever been to. I had such an amazing time and the food was delicious. The instructions to meet were clear and easy to follow. The bottomless sangria was also a nice touch. I would absolutely recommend!!

Endless sangria - to accompany endless disappointment with this booking - Bottomless sangria was a dim light in the very dark tunnel of this workshop. I was looking forward to a fun and practical class, and to learn a few things to show off to family and friends when I got back home. Instead I was placed awkwardly in a loft, waiting my turn to be chosen by the host to step forward, complete a basic task, receive a round of tepid applause, before resuming my position in a semi circle of silence, waiting to return the favor. Time and time again I delivered a forced smile and a halfhearted cheer as fellow classmates, similarly held hostage, poured in a bottle of mineral water to a jug before returning to their place in the semi circle. You get the idea. Minimal practical application nor opportunity across sangria nor paella. Save yourself the time - La Vera paprika is just about the only ‘insider tip’ not on Google. I gritted my teeth through the class, expecting a delicious paella at the end would remedy my disappointment - unfortunately the lukewarm and kind of tasteless paella only compounded my sadness. In fairness, the sangria was bottomless, otherwise this review may have been for less than 1*. Simply not really worth the money overall.
