Best thing in Madrid - Luis was so knowledgeable. I had no idea of the influence of the masters on future artists. You can’t understand the details without doing the tour with a guide. Great to have a tour where photos aren’t allowed so you can actually see the pictures . 10am time slot was not crowded. Thank you. Loved it !

Use a guide - Unless you know your art very well, a guided tour is definitely the way to go, there are so many paintings and sculptures to see. Our guide Ander was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Fun, friendly tour - Very friendly, very helpful and easy to find meet up spot. There was a lot of information and talking on the tour which was fantastic but I’d have liked a little more time to just look at the pictures between information.

Get the Best experience with a Guided Tour! - I was very excited to see the Prado Museum and so glad I experienced it with a "guided tour". Our guide; Federico, was extremely knowledgeable on the paintings. He made sure we saw "key" collections from Goya, Velazquez, El Greco, Raphael, and Bosch, just to name a few. He kept the tour moving and engaged us with interesting information about the artists' and the paintings. We had a family with younger children in the group and he involved them in storytelling and with questions. I think audio tours can be good, but you will miss out on a lot. The Prado is a huge museum and I highly recommend a Guided Tour. Plus you can stay longer inside the museum after the tour is over.

A disappointed guided tour in a wonderful museum - Although the museum can give you a unique experience on Spanish Art, our tour guide chose to show us only what he himself was fond of. He didn’t care to show us Maja for example or other very famous works of Velasquez and Goya which are the gems of the museum. Neither his social skills nor his accent could add to the experience although it was obvious he had a vast knowledge on the subject. Luckily I had more free time to see again the exhibition on my own.
