- Casas Colgadas - These houses, perched on the rocky ledge above the Hoz del Huécar, are iconic symbols of Cuenca and exquisite examples of Gothic architecture. Constructed with masonry and corner ashlars, they are supported by corbels and feature wooden balconies that extend over the cliff, offering views of the river below.
- Museo de Arte Abstracto Espanol - This legendary museum is situated in a legendary location. The Hanging Houses serve as the permanent home for the collection, providing a warm and awe-inspiring space with open-air wooden balconies that offer unparalleled views over the Huécar river gorges.
- Plaza Mayor de Cuenca - Cuenca’s historic center is centered around its Plaza Mayor. Its irregular boundaries are rich in beauty, tradition, and culture. The vibrant facades and monumental architecture of its most notable buildings make it a focal point of light and color.
The Convent of Las Petras, a massive 16th-century structure, is located three blocks away. The striking façade of the Norman neo-Gothic style Cathedral vies for attention with the Baroque town hall, which stands on three semicircular arches. The square is essentially the starting point for the cultural and aesthetic flow that permeates the entire city.
- Catedral De Cuenca - This Cathedral, the first structure built after the reconquest, showcases the grandeur of ecclesiastical power. Initiated at the end of the 12th century, its construction went through several phases, including reforms, extensions, and variations, resulting in a style that is predominantly Norman Gothic with Romanesque influences and later additions such as Plateresque, Cistercian, or Baroque elements.
- Arco de Bezudo - Only a few remnants of the once-impenetrable Christian fortress remain, including fragments of wall canvas near the entrance, a tower, two impressive square bastions, and a beautiful semicircular arch known as the Arco de Bezudo.
Dating back to the 16th century, this arch features a shield with a fleece and served as one of Cuenca’s ancient city gates, separating the intramural and extramural areas. It marks the narrowest point between the two gorges, from which the city was defended from its highest vantage point. Today, visitors can climb the stairs to the top of the arch and enjoy spectacular views.
- Torre Mangana - Built on the ruins of the old fortress, Mangana Tower remained structurally unchanged until the 20th century when it was reconstructed due to deterioration, adopting a neo-Mudejar style and an appearance reminiscent of Italian towers. Initially, it likely served as a defense and surveillance tower, but over time it became a bell tower and a city clock.
